You might want to take a look at the "Trigger Sticks" by Primos.
I have one of the monopods and love it. They also have tripods.
You can get better prices from Cabela's, etc.

I think the one in the second picture is called "Conk".
In the US, some people collect these and paint scenes on the
flat side and display them with the big edge down on tables or shelves. Usually they can be pulled off the tree or sometimes they
may need a "nudge" with something.

I'm new to this also. This is my first post. I have been reading posts on this site for sometime and have seen some "smarta.." comments like Larrie's before. I believe I have figured Larrie's problem out. Larrie is in Yankee country. The first DNA including
manners was only introduced to Yankee country during or just after the War of Northern Aggression when some Southerners either passing through or moving to Yankee country bred with some Yankee women. It is intuitively obvious to the most casual observer that Larrie in missing this vital DNA.
