I feel better thinking my arrogant way. Your's is disheartening & scary.
Here's another thought:
Yes, there are developing intelligent life forms out there somewhere, many somewheres, considering that the number of universes is beyond comprehension. We haven't been contacted by any of them, because, unfortunately, WE are the most advanced.
(Somebody has to be, right?)
Great. I'll chase this down this morning. Thanks
I want to run LR from two separate HDs, (both for memory & automatic backup) so that whichever HD I have connected will be seen by LR when I open it. When I finish using LR for that time, I want to overwrite what I just did onto the other HD. Can anyone give me the steps to set that up. If it's a lot of steps, I'll give you my email address to write directly to me.
Thanks
I use AOL; I checked its "sent" folder. That's why I wrote.
Keep hoping for more responses. Thanks, people.
Does anyone know where LR stores the sent emails?
Started with the 3 & now have the 4. Very reliable. Keep in mind that a laptop does not calibrate quite as well as a desktop, and if you're in the field with it, calibrate more frequently.
So here's what I'm thinking:
A bunch of old people are complaining about the good old days in a gentle sort of way, because our roots are showing and we enjoy finding others who know that we're right?
2 questions now:
Are any of us younger than 65 (I'm 79)?
Do we all agree with the late mayor of NYC, Ed Koch, who said,
"It never was like it used to be!"?
And when I showed my IBM Selectric to my 4 year old grandson (who is now 21), he asked "Where is the enter key?"
Of course, there's always the fact that one is a parent or grandparent at one's table, and therefore could say something about "My house, my rules, etc, etc.
But, I am old fashioned when it comes to good manners, so it's probably better to suck it up and develop ulcers & heart attacks
There also is the "rule of 600." Your focal length (full frame) divided into 600 is the maximum shutter speed that will produce unstreaky stars.
I just started using LR 5.5. Years ago I used LR 2, then switched to Aperture which soon will not be supported by Apple.
I have been traveling, using LR on an external HD, with another for the back-up. I want to put the complete library onto my desktop HDs; safely, of course. Then I will want to do it again when I travel again.
Finally the question: how do I do this?
Thanks.
