Valiant Air Command Planning 36th Annual Airshow
For anyone in the Central Florida area, the annual Tico War birds airshow is this weekend. It has been stated that this will be the only performance of the Air Force Thunderbirds this year due to the federal budget concerns.

I'm not sure about the weather, however the show went on last year and the weather was dreadful ( By Florida standards.)

I also find myself returning to study the last one over and over again. Great work.
Wonderful Shots! My favorite is #3.

I remember the arguments going from Medium fromat to 35mm. I remember when almost all wedding and event photography was done using a Hasselblad or equivalent. I remember when the mantra was "you can never get he resolution from a zoom that you can get from a prime lens" I remember when manual was the "only" way to shoot.
I also remember that when I got my first digital SLR, a crop sensor was all that I could afford. If I was getting into digital photography now I would get s FF sensor since it would be identical to what I was getting from my 35mm SLR. I admit I have enjoyed the extra reach when my 200mm became a 300mm, but I also lamented when my prized 17mm became a 25.5 mm. Unlike the author, 24mm does not seem wide enough for me.
I read Scott Bourne's blog with interest, however I interpreted it as a justification for him to not change what he has. In his own words, the perceived benefits up the newer cameras are not important to him. For me, when the funds are available I will return to the 35mm sensor size that I enjoyed during my 35 years shooting film. (Most likely a D600 or D800) If I need more reach, a 1.4TC used with my 200mm 2.8 will be an acceptable compromise. Who knows, Maybe I'll get one of those long Sigma zooms if I find that I lack the reach. I don't think so, except for air shows, most of my shoots are landscapes and other up close and personal photography.

Hello. My name is Bob and I've had an intense on again, off again, four decade affair with photography that started with the usual Instamatic followed by rangefinders, SLRs and now a DSLR.
Currently I've been devoting my time, finally learning to "see" through the eyes of a photographer. I have lurked for a while and from what I have seen, this is a fine group of extremely talented, tremendously helpful artists.
