I did notice the same thing. I had a canon t2i so when I upgraded to 5dmk2 I asked to myself Why did I have to upgrade because I did not see any change in quality. When I compared the 2 pictures together, it's no big deal.

Hi guys, so I'm an amateur photographer who started out a few months ago with a T2i as my first DSLR and a 50mm 1.8 lens. I immediately fell in love with photography so I decided to step up to the 5D MKII and upgraded my lens to the 50mm 1.4 last month. Now the problem I'm having is I absolutely loved the pics I was getting with the T2i & 1.8 and I'm finding the pics I'm taking with the 5D and 1.4 to be ok. I've shot in auto and manual modes with both cameras. The T2i and 1.8 never let me down and I'm really struggling to get the shots I want with a much better setup. Anyone else have a similar problem when they stepped up to the MKII. Thank you for any help

It was about 2 to 3 months ago. The Gadget is a piece of something that you place on the side/middle of the screen that gives you the proper angle to adjust the screen

Hey Doc ..... what mode are you using ..... P or Av use +1 for exposure compensation, or maybe a little more ..... it's more difficult when there a light skin individual and a dark skinned individual in the same pic .....

..... in manual mode, brighten the exposure a stop

Not too long ago there was an inexpensive gadget/device, I believe it costs $14, that photographers use to calibrate laptop computers. Can someone please refer me to that thread? Thank you!
