I have a Minolta 8000i with a 35-105 af lenses and flash, wondering what to do with it, besides scrap heap. Camera was dropped years ago and doesn't work. Flash like new, lens maybe ok, but not sure. Should I just throw away.

It seems to me that for a person who wears substantial reading glasses (+3.0) would be better served using an Optical viewfinder than an electric one. Don't you have to wear them when using an EVF? I know for sure you need them using the screen. And if your distance vision is OK, would you need a diopter adjustment on a OVF?
