I have the latest version of Lightroom cloud-based subscription. When I import the little picrures at the bottom look perfectly, but the picture looks like crap where you esit. If I open up the file on my desktop and not through LR, the picture looks perfect. I’m not sure what the problem is. This just started happening.

In addition to celebrating Thanksgiving yesterday my wife and I also celebrated our 49th Wedding Anniversary. We were with our son’s family and it was a great day and we had fun telling our grandkids about our wedding and of course we reminisced about a lot of what’s happened in the ensuing years. Now, I don’t remembre exactly what my wife said to me on this morning, the day after our wedding day, 49 years ago but today her first words were: “How’s your sciatica?”😊

Congratulations

A friend and I plan on being in Orlando the 2nd week of December. It may not be the best time to shoot migratory birds but we would like to try to get some shots. I am familiar with Apopka Lake wildlife drive, and Merritt Island wildlife drive but maybe someone may have some better suggestions. We will spend a number of days at Orlando parks. I will be using a Tamron 150-600 and friend will have Tamron18-400.

Merritt Island is the best place to go but you could also go to the Orlando wetlands believe it or not Gatorland in the morning. Vero Beach Lake Apopka Drive also.

I'm a hobbyist photographer - definitely enjoy the artistic/creative aspects of photography more than the technical side, but I want to improve so I've started to read up and learn more. I won't have much to contribute to many of your discussions, but I've learned a lot from your conversations and I appreciate everyone's willingness to share and encourage. I have a Lumix XS100 that I'll be taking on a trip next month - visiting Christmas markets through southern Germany. I'm extremely excited for this "bucket list" trip and hope I'm able to capture some winners!

When I'm not on vacation, I spend my days working for the Mouse here in Orlando, and a lot of my free time playing in the parks (since they're in my backyard and all). I was born and raised in upstate NY, so I'm enjoying all the fall and winter postings coming through. I'll try and post some shots soon from my recent archive, since it seems like a good way to introduce myself and my style to a bunch of photographers.

Buy a converter and put an aerial on your roof. Want to see things missed that aren’t broadcast on regular tv? Most of it ends up on YouTube.
I was paying 159.00 per month, now that money is in my pocket.

If you go with an antenna for over the air broadcast, buy a TiVo or an HD Homerun and you can program your system to record over the air broadcast.

Three friends switched to YouTube TV and are happy. I’m thinking of doing the same and cutting Spectrum.

Wow how have I not found this forum before now, I am Steve from Central Florida and been playing with real cameras since the 70's. Both above and below water. Thanks for letting me join up. I am a true blue Nikon user from my original Nikonos 3 to both DX and FX cameras.

Welcome. Any chance you belong to The Orlando Camera Club? There is also a good camera club in Sanford is you live near there.

I am Jeet. I live in India. I love wildlife photography especially bigcats because i have grown up watching them. My entire childhood was about Tigers, Cheetahs, Lions, Leopards, Pumas and Jaguars along with a bit of cartoon network, haha.

I'm starting to look into going on a african safari. I'm not looking at a "photo" specialized one as my wife will also be going and the seem to be considerably more expensive. any one have recommendations. I have been looking at using Game Watchers Safari.

I'm reading that the better ones are in conservatories which are owned by the native tribes.

Warren and his dad organized a fantastic Safari for 23 of us in South Africa Kruger Park.

I was an Army combat photographer with the First Air Cav 1965-66. My shooting career was interrupted when I was made a second lieutenant, infantry, and then rotated back to Ft. Benning for some officer training. I spent the next eight years in staff and command jobs before resigning in 1974.

I picked up my camera and worked as a freelance shooter and increasingly a writer as well--a good 1,000 words would sell most photo stories shot on spec, eight or ten images at $300 each, give or take.

Then in 1983 I lucked into an opportunity to write my first nonfiction book, "The Japanese Conspiracy." Hardly had the dust settled when I accepted full custody of my 13-going-on-30 daughter. That soon ended my shooter career--can't travel twice a week and be a fulltime single dad.

Later this month I am going back to Seoul with that same daughter, who still lives with me. I just completed my 17th and 18th books (#17 is M-9, a mystery, and #18 "They Were Soldiers" is a nonfiction examination of 49 Vietnam veterans and how they've done professionally and personnally since the war. That will be published in May 2020, though it is available for pre-sale order on Amazon.

As an intro to my shooting side, I here post an essay from a dozen or so brief visits to Seoul, 1972-74.

Does anyone know the location(s) in Florida to observe Osprey? I have watched the excellent Youtube videos by Mr. Mark Smith. It was mentioned that the Osprey photos (or at least part of them) are from FL, I believe. Thanks in advance!

Anywhere on the Saint Jones River.
