You are brave manually focusing on hummers, but looks like you did a great job.
Thanks. Hummers are a challenge.
For the first time in a while, our backyard is hosting a fair number of hummingbirds as they migrate through the Coastal Bend in South Texas. While birds are not my favorite subject, it was also the first time in a while that I shot in the yard as I slowly continue my recovery from illnesses. I found much joy in getting close to the birds watching and hearing them as I did making the pictures.
The posted photos were done manually focused with a Nikon D5300 and 18-55 kit lens and the RAW files processed with Topaz AI
Out of focus part of the plant.
I am back, more or less. These are the first photos I’ve made since June, when I became ill. I remain ill, and while I have lurked extensively on UHH, I remain a long way from back to my pre-June self.. Today, I managed to get into the backyard for a few shots. They’re not great, but they are a way to indicate I am still out there.
The photos are of a Texas Star Hibiscus and of my wife’s two pollinator gardens in our backyard.
Wedlcome to the UHH. Gteetings from Victoria, Texas.
Please tell us more about how you do that.
Condolences to his family and friends.

I’ve noticed these kinds of posts here and on other forums, such as Reddit for example. It’s as though the poster either hasn’t or won’t “do the work” and wants the rest of us to do it for them. It’s not restricted to questions about travel, either.
I don’t mind helping people and I chip in on UHH when I think I can make a positive contribution. And I have a high tolerance for people when they just don’t know where to start. But, as quixdraw and PixelStan77 point out, the quality of the response may well reflect the quality of the question.
