As indicated, I am not looking for any information for myself, but rather to share information and experiences among the group.

Personally I've never thought a camera need an aftermarket grip. When using lenses that are big and heavy enough to need help they are provided with a lens mount. What needs the grip is the lens, at least that's been my experience.
I made this inexpensive wooden hand grip. I've seen commercially made plastic supports as well.
Bigger lenses are very hard to hold by the tripod foot. This makes my lenses with a tripod ring easy to hold by hand all day. The camera takes care of itself!
Anyway, it's what works for me!!!

Very respectfully done, nice pose and lighting. I am thinking getting her on to the table and into the pose should get its own award.

Star, thanks! Actually it’s only a coffee table so getting her on it was pretty easy. We had more trouble with the poses as they weren’t very comfortable and got difficult pretty quickly.
Yes, I got some very nice tasteful shots and a few not so tasteful!!! LoL

I have spent time in the South and I think the way b****s were treated is d********g. I have always felt that way. Of course the Civil Rights Act was needed. No problem there. All you mention is just fine with me.

But let’s face some facts here. I have spent a lot of time with black people and a common complaint was, We ain’t gonna let whitey keep us down. In my experience the only thing keeping black people down these days is Democrats and black people. When you keep telling one race of people that they are down trodden and need government assistance then you get millions of people who think they are down trodden and asking for welfare handouts. That is exactly what Democrats have done since the Civil War.

We have spent Billions to Trillions to educate the black race, used Affirmative Action to place black students in college programs where few had any sense of how to succeed. I have seen black people who failed a promotion test get promoted because there wasn’t a black person at that level. This may sound fair to you but doesn’t do black people any favors. I am all for anyone, black, white, Hispanic, wh**ever being at a level in society they can attain through hard work and study. But the government gimme programs don’t help except to keep these people under someone’s thumb. Sorry if you cannot see that. Dennis

LoL, you spent time in the south? What, as a Black man?? Maybe riding in the back of the bus, because if you sat in the front you’d be d**gged out and beat unconscious?
Your a JOKE !!! You spent time in the south as what, a COP? A white boy? As what, a share cropper???
Get back under you big white Rock!!! LoL
Suddenly the white boy has had enough and decreed all black people are equal to w****s?
You’ve had enough of affirmative action. You’re tired of helping black people!!!
The R****T suddenly had enough!?!?! LoL

I would not answer in the affirmative. It is a matter of perspective. If black people had not been subjected to s***ery, segregation, discrimination and bigotry for 400+ years in this country, then the author would have a point. But as it is, it is a small price to pay for white people to put up with a little animosity.

Maybe white people could be ens***ed by B****s for the next hundred years, might give a better perspective.
They could be whipped, their women raped and then sold!!! Might change perspective a wee bit...., no???

Maybe people don’t move because they are Americans and this is their HOME, for better or worse?!
Unless you are Native American, you are no more American than they are.
For sure, your response is a COWARDS response!!!!

Years ago, many years ago, I was vacationing at the expense of the county. I was in a position where I was mostly near the deputies and they would talk as though I wasn't there. they would talk about parties attended by cops, and fights that would erupt. They always said " as soon as a fight starts to develop get the guns away from them". If cops can't be trusted not to party, and drink and get in fights, while armed, why do you have so much faith in everyone else. I heard stories, on many occasions about one cop pulling a gun on an other. This was probably 45 years ago, but I don't have any reason to think things are different today.

Well, we’re talking about the difference between arming people with mostly a minimum of a Masters Degree, being teachers, and people from a para military organization, the Cops, which except for cops here on the Hog, are mostly uneducated other than an AA in criminal justice at best.
One joined to educate kids, the other so they could k**l paper targets with OPM!!!
One group is almost all liberals and the other all conservatives!
One group likely doesn’t even own a gun and the other lives to empty their guns into a black mans back as he runs away!!!
I’ve never heard of a teacher fighting, either at a party, a bar or a heated discussion?! The other group, doesn’t surprise me one bit!!! LoL

To get to the bottom of this and to AID Mueller’s investigation, the Steel Document should be turned over to the CIA in order to corroborate or dismiss any unproven aspects. That would make it fair.
Maybe they could dig up and release the PEEPEE tapes!!! LoL

Here is a list of the varying school gun regulations by state. It was compiled by the Crime Prevention Research Center, a national nonprofit dedicated to research on the relationship between laws regulating the ownership or use of guns, crime, and public safety. It does not accept donations from gun or ammunition makers or organizations such as the NRA or any other organizations involved in the gun control debate on either side of the issue.

Alabama (which bans possessing a weapon on school grounds only if the carrier has “intent to do bodily harm”)

Arkansas (with approval of the superintendent) — February 26, 2018. Teachers in 20 schools allowed to carry concealed handgun.

California had allowed concealed carry on school grounds until it passed a law in 2015 that required the approval of the school administrator. On October 14, 2017 a new law took away that authority from school administrators. Up until that date, five school districts allowed teachers or staff to carry concealed handguns.

Colorado (with approval of school board — Hanover School District, Fleming School District and Briggsdale School District)

Connecticut (with approval of school officials)

Georgia (with school board approval)

Hawaii (no specific law)

Idaho (with school trustees’ approval) some school districts allow staffers and teachers to carry

Indiana (2013 law that lets school boards decide)

Iowa (with authorization) — no district currently allows.

Kansas (school districts may allow employees with concealed-carry permits to carry guns on campus if the district does not have a policy prohibiting it)

Kentucky (with school board approval) Example: Pike County School District

Massachusetts (with approval of the school board or principal)

Michigan (as long as the gun is carried openly)

Minnesota (with approval of School Superintendent) — some do it

Mississippi (with school board approval)

Missouri (with school board approval) Crocker School Board has approved it

Montana (with school trustees’ permission) — In 2017, Belfry, Custer, and Lima school districts allowed teachers and staff members to carry. Another school district allowed a former teacher to carry. Two others allow current staff members to carry, but they weren’t currently carrying.

New Hampshire (ban applies only to pupils, not adults)

New Jersey (with approval from the school’s governing officer)

New York (with the school’s approval)

Ohio (with school board approval) — in 2015, at least 40 school districts in Ohio allow teachers to carry permitted concealed handguns. Right now there are reportedly over 100 school districts.

Oregon (any permit holders, some school districts prevent employees from carrying)

Rhode Island (with a state concealed weapons permit)

South Dakota (law authorizes districts to create, establish and supervise the arming of school employees, hired security personnel or volunteers.)

Tennessee (allows certain school employees to carry a firearm on school grounds if they are licensed, meet certain qualifications and have written authorization from authorities)

Texas (with the school’s permission) — Texas Association of School Boards says 172 school districts in Texas allow staff and board members to carry firearms onto school premises

Utah (any teacher or staff member with a concealed handgun permit can carry) — about 5 percent of the public school teachers in the state carry and about 10 percent to 12 percent of the support staff.

Washington (eight schools in the Toppenish School District have nineteen administrators who carry)

Wyoming (in 2017 a law was passed that left the decision up to the local school boards. 24 hours of training required.)

BTW, in districts where it specifies that the Superintendent or board can give permission, most of those districts have waived that right and given the power to the local police certifying agencies, such as the Chief of Police. Few districts will accept the liability of granting a carry permission themselves. It’s a lawsuit waiting to happen.
CA alone has 1050 School districts with 5000 High Schools. A gun policing nightmare!!!
Maybe you can lobby your state for teachers to to be armed!!!
But the biggest hurdle will be the teachers union and contract.
Too bad, 2 weeks ago I was at lunch with the law firm that represents many of the districts in CA. I could have actually found out the real official legal nitty gritty of guns in schools.

Sounds like you have defined the challenge put before our country.
1. Change Ed code...
2. District or state law adopts and implements it.
3. No one will be forced to carry a gun. That’s just nutz.
4. Yes. Personal choice.
5. Parents love their kids. No brainer wanting them protected at school. I believe it will only be r****ded democrats in California, Oregon, New York... that will not want their children protected.
6. Viable...

Yes, very viable in your deformed brain!!! 🧠
Not likely in any state in this country.
Maybe in a police state like Russia or China!
Wasn’t it in Colorado or somewhere that teachers were given an option to carry?
Nothing came of that, at least that I ever heard!!!
And good luck just changing the Ed Code. We’ve got a completely r****ded woman in charge of education.
If you told her to change Ed Code she would wind up firing someone and replacing them with a Fred!!! LoL
