What beauty! I can't wait to see that region soon! Dang job gets in the way though!
Your photos are from my viewpoint, excellent. My eye is drawn immediately to a significant feature and the colprs seem very accutate
Smart way to a less expensive camera?
I'm a 400 mile drive from Chilly, Idaho where i plan to view the eclipse; and photograph the milky way the night before. Few if any lights and almost nobody around. Probably going to be dang cold Sunday night.
My favorite ride: 2000 Ford Focus Wagon w/170K miles.
Picture site is along I-90 at the East side of the Columbia River looking SW. High desert colors really set off the Autumn Orange paint.
What a beautifully composed shot!
I think at 20 seconds, you will always detect rotation in the corners of your filed of vision in a 14mm lens. I think that you have to have exposures less than 15 seconds to avoid capturing the earth's rotation. Then you lose the details of the Milky Way.
Again, I really like that shot - it's awesome!
I rode it twice this week! Nice spot to shoot from. Excellent capture as always! Saturday was hot, hot, hot. We waited for today, Sunday, for our second ride. Love the waterfall to the right as you leave the Idaho end of the tunnel. We snapped off a picture of a whitetail doe - completely unbothered by our presence.
I'm sure there is always a potentially 'better' Photograph. These would be very satisfying to me had I taken them. But then, I would also be trying to get that one better shot.
Darn thing is, we have to wait quite a while to see the next Fireworks display (unless you are at Disneyworld for a couple of weeks).
Very nice shots Cam, and yeah I like #4 quite a bit too.
Hi, the ws in my handle is for West Seattle, where I've resided fo 29 years. Bainbridge ferry at sunset is spectacular. 30- 35 minutes out, same back. It is on the waterfront. I live 2 miles south of the aforementioned Alki beach. Fantastic place to shoot the skyline is half way between West seattle bridge and Alki
Pm me and I'll be glad to add many suggestions.
I'm guessing that a crow found the eggs last year. Notorious nest robbers like the Steller Jay in the west. Very nice shot of this Robin. Focus is pure perfection.
Excellent article Jerry, thank you!
Wow! Excellent poser, isn't it? Nice DoF. Which province?
Nice - wow - what a poser!
pixelstan77: June to October you will see plenty of sunshine - the remainder of the year, the odds are never in your favor.
DCART: Nice composition and I really like the cloud! Reminds me of seeing Mount Rainier on a clear day as I drive over the West Seattle bridge. Always some kind of cloud hanging about.
Amen!
Wonderful sights all along. Hope you can see Mt.Saint Helens. And Oregon coast by Newport.
Avoid Seattle, and stick to the Olympic Peninsula. Ferry to Vancouver Island and visit Victoria, then on to Vancouver BC.
All you'll see in Seattle is drug addicts and drunks. Much nicer staying on us 101
Rick (Seattle for 29 years)
fantastic shots - If you can get them to pause for a moment, they're the most interesting creatures to photograph. As many as I have watched, I've never seen one drink - that you got that shot is really great!
Wrt your impending RC surgery: As recommended, follow the PT's instructions to the letter. Recovery is more rapid and the outcome much better the more effort you put into it.
