I was waiting with a neighbor last month to shoot the super moon at this location. So, I decided to shoot this image while waiting for the moon to rise. Watson Lake is only a 5 minute drive from my house and an excellent place to photograph. We were fortunate to have a calm evening so as to be able to get good reflections. I hope you enjoy this image.

I have no idea what a professional photographer would charge to shoot the house and grounds today. I've been retired for the past five years, so not up to date with what a professional would charge. One thing I always did was to have the seller split the cost with me to have the property staged. When the stagger finished her job, the home looked like a model and always photographed at it's best. If the seller didn't want to share in the cost, I always paid for it myself as it was well worth the cost. Usually no more than $50.00 if the stagger only had to bring in minimal articles. It could cost additional it the stagger brought in a lot of items. We made sure any areas that needed touch up painting were taken care of and the grounds had to be mowed and trees and shrubs manicured. Pools needed to be cleaned, etc. I think you get the idea. We had a color printer and always printed color brochures which was a new concept at that time and went over big with the seller.

I was a Real Estate Broker in California and mainly a listing agent. I used to shoot my own pictures for my brochures that were available for the general public and potential buyers. I did this for 37 years. You did a very good job and I would let you do the photographing of my listings and I'm very particular. Good job. The photos for the MLS were shot by a photographer for the Association of Realtors when I was in business.

Go to realy right stuff.com for all your tripod and head needs. IMHO, they are the best and can accommodate your needs.

Thank you Rick. In fact, I have some past moon shots where I bracketed and they came out fine. I tried bracketing in both the Sedona and Prescott shots I recently took and it didn't work. I guess I'm going to have to experiment with various settings and bracketing to see what works all the time.

How about bracketing three exposures and combining them like an HDR shot. Do you think that would work?

The first picture was shot in Sedona, AZ. by Oak Creek with Cathedral Rock in the distance. I needed to wait until the moon cleared the trees and started moving toward Cathderal Rock. Although the full moon started rising around 6:00 PM, it took a whole hour for it to clear the trees to be visible next to Cathedral Rock. This picture was shot at 7:07 PM. Everything went according to plan with the exception of a nice round full moon by the rock. It was very disappointing to wait all that time and not get what I came for.

The second picture was shot at Watson Lake in Prescott, AZ and the same situation ensued, that is, I had to wait for the Full Moon to clear the hill which took some time from the scheduled full moon rising time.

Attached are two photos I took recently trying to incorporate the full moon in the shot. As you can see from the photo, the full moon did not come out properly. Any suggestions what went wrong and how to correct the problem so it doesn't happen again.
