I would love to keep my existing 5D MK2 but to be honest could do with replacing as it has been used in some fairly harsh environments over the past 4 years, mainly Desert and dusty conditions. I also have a nice existing selection of quality L, and Sigma lenses which cover all my current requirements..

Thanks for that. I was getting swayed towards the 5D MK3, purely due to the AF focusing, as I like to take sports pictures primarily of rugby. How does the Al Servo work with the 6D?

Hi, basically I have been working in the Middle East (Afghanistan and UAE) for the past 4 years and my 5D Mk2 has had some great use throughout this period but is now looking a bit worse for wear and needs replacing. I am beginning to think the extra expense of a 5D MK3 would be the best move, despite very good reviews on the 6D. I return to the UK in August and will treat myself when I get home :-D.

I am contemplating upgrading my much loved 5D Mk2 with either a 6D or 5D Mk3. Obviously price is a major factor and the more I read the more I feel the 6D will meet all my expectations. If anyone has had the same predicament some advice would be much appreciated...Thanks.
