Strikefinder is awesome. I have never used it, but have seen it demonstrated. Besides catching lightening strikes, it is great at catching explosions, breaking glass, water drops. Can also be triggered by sound. Don't know about the others.

To me, these are much more engaging than the typical rodeo photos.

I am a total beginner, so consider the source. My eye was drawn to the water sprays and the sun. It is a beautiful setting, maybe just needs to be simplified.

Bobcat87 - The good news is that Creative Live tends to run various sales constantly, so if you missed this specific one, another is likely to be along in short order. Best wishes, Ralph in the WI north woods.

Thank you, Ralph. I decided to "pull the trigger" and purchased these last night. Anxious to get started.

I own the Lightroom course that you are asking about. It is worth the original price and a steal at today's sale price. Ben Wilmore does a fine job explaining the process. I also own several more of the Creative Live courses and have yet to be disappointed by anything. Again, at the sale price today, grab it up. It won't get any less expensive than today's price. (I paid $5 more on July 4 sale).

Appreciate your getting back to me. I knew I could count on fellow hoggers!

I haven’t taken either of these courses, however if you click on the course it will take you to a detailed description of the course. The individual modules (videos) are listed on the right hand side of your screen with the running time for each video. It appears the Classic course is over 20 hours and the Digital Organization is over 3 hours.

Thanks so much! Don't know how I missed that.

Hello, Hoggers. I just ran across a sale at Creative Live which ends at midnight. I'm hoping one of you can answer a couple of questions for me. Has anyone taken either of these classes: "Organizing Your Digital Life"; "Adobe Lightroom-Classic the Complete Guide". Specifically, I would like to know approximately how many hours each is. I looked on the website and couldn't find that information. I also sent them an email, but received a return email saying it might be 48 hours before I get an answer. Both classes seem to be highly rated/recommended. Would you recommend these for a beginner in Lr? Although I have Lightroom CC, do you think I could still benefit from these? Thanks for your help!

The sahara dust may account for the haze at sunrise. I think there may still have been a trace of it yesterday.

I belong to a club in San Antonio, TX. It is $10.00 year. Membership is comprised of folks with a wide range of skills, from professionals to those with smart phone cameras only. They are super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We meet once per month at a local restaurant and have a guest speaker, or one of the members will give a presentation. We have a monthly photo challenge and the top 3 submissions receive certificates. We also have frequent photo outings in the local area and beyond. We are also given info about Texas and national photography events. As a relatively new DSLR user, I have learned a great deal!

This just reminded that I added several stops of exposure compensation on some photos I took this week, and I forgot to reset it back to 0. Thanks for the reminder! I wonder why exposure compensation does not go back to 0 when you turn off the camera.
