Regarding the glass worker at Waterford: Wouldn't an OSHA inspector go nuts there? No safety glasses! No protective gloves! Molten hot glass just inches away!

My wife and I drove up from Scottsdale where we were stay. I didn't consider the elevation change (about 2000 feet between there and Sedona. Temp was in the high 60's in Scottsdale and much cooler in Sedona. We bought some sweatshirts there and used blankets provided by the jeep tour company and were still pretty chilled. But, the sights were amazing. We especially enjoyed seeing the indian habitats carved into the red rock and the tribal markings that they left behind.

Sedona is one of those places where it is hard to take a bad photo. Great photo ops in all directions. Not meaning to undercut your shots in any way, but some areas of the world are more photogenic than others.

As you may have noticed, some vandals have been at work on the Horton Mill and Swann bridges with spray painting of some symbol over the bridge names. It is a shame that people have so little respect for historic properties that others have worked so hard to preserve.

Thanks. Wish we had a bit more fall color to add to the shots, but the leaves haven't been very brilliant this year, so far.

Thanks. Covered bridges have always interested me. Went to Vermont one fall. Nearly every town up there has a covered bridge.

There are three renovated covered bridges within a 20 mile radius of Oneonta, AL (70 miles NE of Birmingham). The Easley Bridge was constructed in 1927; the Swann Bridge was built in 1933 and the Horton Mill Bridge in 1934. All are in daily use and are maintained by the Blount County Commission and the Friends of the Covered Bridges of Blount County. There are less than a dozen covered bridges in the state. Most are not useable. These three are among the best. Well worth the side trip, if you are near the north Alabama
area.

The hotel I stayed in on a recent trip to Saint Louis, MO afforded a spectacular view of the arch and surrounding buildings. The Pear Tree Inn on Market Street has windows on each of ten floors which face east towards the heart of the city. You have lots of different looks throughout the morning, mid day, afternoon and evening! THe last shot was taken from the river side of the arch and shows some construction underway on the arch grounds

I used to buy from both Creve Couer and Schiller's when I lived in Saint Louis. Sure miss them. The last independent camera store just closed here in Birmingham, AL, where I now live. What a shame!

Loved the ethnic photos. There are so many different groups represented in Vietnam. When I was there (courtesy of Uncle Sam), I didn't have much time for photography. Being an airlift pilot, I did get to see lots of those various ethnicities as I flew missions in support of the army, mostly around middle and southernmost South Vietnam. Would love to go back with more time and my camera gear.

Any time water is involved in a photograph, a polarizing filter helps to enhance the shot. Suggest you use it. If you are not satisfied with the results, you can always take it off. Good luck.
