One more and I have to get some housework done. Geesh..UHH you are such a good distraction.

Beautiful (page 11). Is that fog/mist/steam rising off of water? Sure adds to the beauty.

Here are a few more from my archives. I love diagonals because they denote action, vitality, energy, even apprehension...all factors that catch the viewer's attention.

Love the first one - page 11.

I've been enjoying everyone's pictures for diagonal lines.
I've been going through some of my barn pictures from 2015 using Lightroom and picture effects in my free trial of ON1 10.
I like some of the more moody effects I have been getting.
I noticed this one could be used for diagonal lines.

A big thank you to RR for hosting yet another Free Sunday. And thank you Pat on your 2016 Goals Challenge....a great start for a year of accomplishments and learning in 2016.

In a landscape photo, portrait photo, still life or any other kind of photo, the first major task of the photographer is to draw the viewer’s eye to the most important aspects of the shot and keep it there!

"We want our photo to send some sort of message. If not, we shouldn’t be taking the shot. So we want to be certain that our viewer’s attention is focused in the right area. By the way, the message we’re sending could be as simple as wanting them to see an attractive cloud formation or some pretty colors in a rainbow—whatever.

We’re taking the shot because something in that scene attracted us and we want the viewer to see it, too.

This is actually the whole point to the photo composition rules. To make sure the viewer sees what we want them to see in the scene."

The above was copied from the following article from PictureCorrect:

Just a couple to start this challenge off......

Great shot Mary. Patience pays off. I am told by the fortune telling guru that I will learn more patience in the new year and produce more art. I hope it comes true.

Thank you, Carolyn.
