So beautiful, Cindy. I don't know if I could manage that cold, though. I sure would like to try, though.

Thanks Ken...as long as you have the right clothing, it's really not bad at all! Plus if I get cold, I have a Mr. Buddy heater in the ice shack...ok so I cheat some times!!

Beautiful country! I did some of that in Alaska a few winters ago with my brother when we spent the winter up there. Scary being out on the ice, but you get used to it. But I don't believe you for a second that you don't feel the cold!:-)

Once that sun came out it warmed up pretty dang nice .... I really was nice and warm! Have you ever been on the ice when you can hear it start cracking? Now that is scary!!

Sorry I didn't take any pics of the fish but we did catch some smaller brookies and a few nice cuts.

Wonderful shots. Thanks for sharing. No issues with camera gear exposed to that weather?

Thank you and no issues with the camera other than i have to make sure to bring extra batteries since they die pretty quick in the cold weather. I have a fanny pack that I carry the camera in.

I’m impressed, not only that you guys would get out and do that, but also the photos. Lovely place. Not familiar with the cold, I am surprised that the lake has frozen sufficiently to actually set up a fishing tent.

Thanks! Most of the smaller lakes here have been frozen over for about a month now...we have been getting a lot of cold weather! The lake had about 8 inches of ice already.

Majestic scenery.

It sure is! We had a blast plus it was great that we were the only two people on the lake.
