Thank you for the advice. I am very new to this.

I upgraded my 2012 MacBook Pro and my wife's five year old HP laptop to 16 gig RAM and 1 TB SSD drive. Both are faster and boot up in 25 seconds. About $400 each to do that.

I had to turn in my bag at the gate in Dubai with my cameras and iPad. They only allowed me to carry on my cell phone. But all good. It was waiting for me when I got to international Baggage in orlando tagged and sealed. I kept my memory cards with over 4000 pictures. My daughter and I went to S. Africa Kurger Park. Ten more years and Rhinos will be no more. Fifteen years end of African Elephants. Poachers killing them for them for Ivey and Rhino Horn.

Wildlife, Wild mustangs and landscapes. I have small hands and the camera is to big . I might just buy another D7200.

The D7200 is not that much smaller esp if you use the battery grip. I'd buy your d500 rig if I did not own one. Have you thought about getting a Sony A7 or A6500 or maybe another brand?

Sorry I meant to say prefer the menu buttons on my D500 not d5000.

Good deal. If I did not already own one I'd buy it.

I bought my wife a Sony A6000 because she wanted a smaller camera. When your Nikon sells consider the Sony A6500.

I definitely prefer the menu buttons on the D5000 over the A6000.

For those looking to save money by dodging the sales tax issue, Internet sellers will ultimately be required to charge sales tax, in all jurisdictions. Let's hope that some of the camera stories will survive until that takes hold.

Amazon charges sales tax in Florida.

In central Florida, we are lucky to have Marshall's Camera in a little town of Aurburndale. They have been around for a long time and I am like a kid in a candy store every time I go there. They have everything I could ever want and they people are very knowledgeable. They have new and used equipment and carry all of the major brands and 3rd party equipment besides. They have been very helpful every time I go there.

Thanks, I'll pay them a visit sometime.

Problem is, that is exactly what happens almost daily. Then they are the ones who complain the loudest when the mom & pop shop closes down (or they relish the thought of buying items at highly discounted prices) Idiots, that place no value on reason, intelligence or loyalty. Hence the rise of WallyWord and the election of what is now sitting in the White House.

I am a pro Broadcast dealer. Pretty much lost wedging video camera purchases. Mainly due to using DSLR for video. But also online. On the other hand I sell Sony Camcorders for example for less than BH does unles it's a fixed price like FS5/7.

But we are integration company design build. Here is a church control room we did last year.

What I hope people don't do is go to a local camera store ( for me colonial photo and hobby in Orlando ) test a camera then leave and order online just to get out of paging sales tax.

That's always a tough call. The 28-300mm has considerably more reach.

A bit of comparison -
"If I have to pick one of those two lenses, I would definitely go for the Nikon 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6 ED VR. The Nikon 24-120mm f/4G ED VR will probably deliver slightly better results, but as you saw from all the comparisons, the difference in real life pictures is not significant."

How about an old great prime lens for under $200. 180mm prime.
