I can give you that information right now. I bought the conversion on eBay for $200, from seller szabophotography. You can look up this seller on eBay. On his posting he explains what he does for your camera. I suggest you contact him with the make and model you want to convert prior to buying the service. He has been very helpful, and communicates very well.
He is removing the hot mirror filter in my T2i, installed by Canon at the factory, and is replacing it with an IR long pass filter. After looking around, I decided on the 650nm filter over the more common 720mn filter because I wanted a little more color to play with. I can always convert to all black and white on either my PC using Lightroom or using the SnapSeed app on my iPad.
I hope this helps.

Thanks, David, for your reply. The reasons I went with the Canon T2i are two fold: (1) my full-time camera is a Canon 5D Mk III, and thus I have several top-line (L) lenses which will work just fine with that T2i, and (2) I got a smokin deal on the T2i body. I look toward to teaming up the good lenses with the 18 MP sensor. When I get it back and take some shots with it, I will post them here.
This is another shot with the cheap Point-and-Shoot camera.
P. S. I really enjoy this forum, and check it every day.
I just sent off a used Canon T2i DSLR to be converted to Infrared Only use with an internal IR 650nm filter. Has anyone in this forum used an IR converted camera, and if so what was your experience. Attached is an image I captured with a little IR point-and-shoot camera I bought to see if I liked the images. As you can see this little sensor captured a lot of digital noise, but I like the concept of IR.
