Found 2 of these in my yard this morning.

First time I've had 2 at the same time. Couldn't get them both in one picture.

Nice one.

Very nice and colorful as you say. I got a picture of a Hoopoe when I was in Egypt.

Here is another moon close up... no HDR, no Stacking, just cropped and some PP sharpening... photo taken on a really good night for seeing in my back yard...
EXIF: Canon 40D camera body + Dynamax 8 telescope (2110mm) used as lens; ISO 200 at 1/90th second...

Good shot, I bet you can get some good close ups (in the next county) with that telescope on the end of your camera.

Just got out from my bath and found them all in a bunch. Would hate to be the one on the bottom

I've seen a few rattlers up close. I lived in New Mexico for a couple years. flooding holes in the ground will bring them to the surface. cool shots, but I stay plenty far away from them. and I've seen a few of the soft shell turtle, fyi their necks are long enough to reach all the way to their tales and they are almost as mean as a snapper, but a lot faster on land and in the water. lol

This was the first time I had seen rattlers up close and not behind glass. I did not know that about the soft shell turtles, it looked so cute, how big do they grow? This one is a dwarf one. (not that I want one)
