These are beautiful. That's gorgeous country! And I'd love that road! Looks like a few I've driven.

Really nice photos, Mike. I certainly hope they have a cup of coffee before taking a step out the door!

Ginger in all of its forms is lovely. And yes, the B&W really works. Nicely done, all.

Luckily for me, I don't have the pressure of a show or "clients". It's nice to be "just a hobbyist". That being said, we always want to do the very best we can. So I'll just keep at it and do my best to keep improving. I am going to build a sled just because it seems too cool not to! Then I should be able to get a better handle on mitering. The rabbets are a challenge. Router table came in the mail yesterday. That should make it more manageable. At least, it should make my cuts more consistent. Thanks for the encouragement.

Remember to do the routing slowly, and perhaps in several passes. That way you won't burn the wood.

I learned to do this myself when I decided to do a solo art show and hung 87 pieces! Matting and framing was just too expensive to not do myself. And I learned that I really enjoy doing it. I never conquered the "artistic" mats that were all the rage for a few years. I've always wanted a sled, but haven't ever made one. I do have instructions for it. Keep at it! Learning to measure for that rabbet is key!
