Went to Tanzania this past October. Wonderful trip. Used the Tamron 18-270 for all these shots

I think these are Hear All, See All and say Nowt but they might be the other 3 Eat All, Sup All and Pay Nowt.

Shot indoors through glass panel.

Spotted a Northern Flicker building a new home by pecking out a hole and then grabbing the pieces of wood in it's beak and then spitting it out into the air.
The distance was about 60 feet high towards the top of a tall dead tree.

Great shots, the second is very well caught, the only thing I can see wrong is the make to the left of the thrown wood. Looks like lens or sensor mark.

Some time ago now I posted some pictures of these birds in the "Bottle Brush" tree in our garden. I got the opportunity again today. Just one bird but he/she did not seem too bothered by my being close - about 8 feet away.

Very good, I like them all.

Exactly 60 years ago I got the "Spell of the Yukon" spending the summer placer minning for gold at the Klondike. Don't see many pictures of that beautiful area on UHH, here are a few slides I scanned, sorry about the grain.

This is a sure sign of spring for us and a warning that our hummingbird feeder will need to be filled more often.

This bird is a bit shy and won't come close when I'm outside. These shots are heavily cropped from photos taken about 150' away. Also, it's very cloudy which makes for different shooting conditions.

Pretty bird. You did very well to say how far away it was.

I got these this morning before some much needed rain began. The cloudy conditions made it a little challenging to get the right amount of detail without getting too much grain.

These birds have been so difficult, I hope that once I get decent shots, everything else will seem easy. That may just be wishful thinking.

I had to lighten these up a little in post. Feel free to make suggestions as to how I can improve future shots.

All great pictures, No 5 for me is the best.
