Spotted a Northern Flicker building a new home by pecking out a hole and then grabbing the pieces of wood in it's beak and then spitting it out into the air.
The distance was about 60 feet high towards the top of a tall dead tree.

Great shots, the second is very well caught, the only thing I can see wrong is the make to the left of the thrown wood. Looks like lens or sensor mark.

This bird is a bit shy and won't come close when I'm outside. These shots are heavily cropped from photos taken about 150' away. Also, it's very cloudy which makes for different shooting conditions.
