While clearing out my darkroom I rediscovered some old negatives, I thought some of you might be interested seeing these pictures. The motor bike and the old car negative was found a long time ago at the flea market, they are not my original shots, I am old but not quite that old, lol. I think the bike shot is a classic, love the background and I hope someone knows about what year the pictured Indian motor cycle was made. As for the car, I think it would be hard to identify what make, love the lantern head and rear lamps, how about the horn, the external emergency brakes? Apparently the gent is trying to fix it not by rolling back his sleeves but rolling up his pants, I assume not to get mud on them. The lightning shots are mine, maybe not rare in your area but here in the San Francisco area it is a very rare occurrence, we get more earthquakes as lightening. These were taken with an old Rolleicord about 40 years ago from my patio, they were a hit at that time and covered the whole front page of our local newspaper.
While clearing out my darkroom I rediscovered some... (show quote)

Great lighting shots. I can remember my Dad taking pictures of lighting from the bedroom window while we were all downstairs not too happy in a great thunderstorm...

This is an iPhone 5 picture of my wife's favorite color rose. I bought the roses to celebrate our 41st wedding anniversary. I did a little in-camera post processing.
After 41 years with that woman I have only two words for her, "YES DEAR".

Beautiful rose, congratulations on 41 years and having the right two words....

I love the hummingbird pictures folks post and have managed to get a few good ones myself...but sometimes I just feel they need a little help.

made this with a close up of a peony, and then a cut and paste, and mask of the hummer on top...

even tho the proportions are all wrong I thought it came out kinda cool.

Looks good to me...

This was taken by my son who, along with his wife, are travelling all over the US right now in a converted van. I have introduced him to UHH and he will join up as soon as they settle down.

Here are some details: "I used the 24mm lens manually focused, manual exposure mode, 15s f/2.8, ISO 1600, tripod (of course). The moon was near full so it illuminated the landscape."

The 24mm is a fixed prime lens I gave him some years back.

Please check the download.

Great shot, looks better on the download. Look forwards to seeing more of his pictures.

I went out for a drive with my wife the other evening looking for a good sunset viewpoint. I found it and got a few good shots. This is one of them. The fishing boat was a bonus. I will post more.
Photographed in Laval sur le Lac, Québec.

What a great relaxing peaceful shot... I like the way you have caught the boat on the line of the colour change in the water.

Still having fun with Topaz Simplify - best $20 I ever spent! (half price sale) Picasa museum mattes.

The hummingbird was basically a silhouette against harsh white sky. The flowers were nearby, but the bird was at a feeder. If it looks like a greeting card, is that a good thing or bad? :)

Thanks for viewing!

Great shots Linda. No 1 is great with what you have done to it..

1- This a picture of a Lady sunbathing under the Chalk Cliffs near Beach Head, notice the amount of rock recently fallen to her left hand side.
2 & 2a- This is the cliff top directly above her head, The brick-wall is what is left of a garden where the house was demolished because it was in danger of falling over the edge in the storms last February, ---2a is the storms at that time when 5 mts of cliffs fell into to sea.
3- Is cropped to show the potential danger this lady is in. Fortunately nothing happened while I was there,-- but ????

Great shots GWR100, the same thing happens in Cornwall, Drunk young holiday makers jump over the railing not realising there is a great drop on the other side in a certain place near me.

We don't have much different butterflies overhere , so from time to time we visit a butterfly greenhouse ..
The owner told me that he imports the Pupa ( Cocon ) from different countries , put them behind glass at a certain temperature and after a while he has some new fresh butterflies flying around...

Great set.
