Photos #1 and #2 are my favorites and your composition was nicely handled..

There is nothing wrong whatsoever with your photos #3 and #4, however, the subject matter depicted in photos #1 and #2, is far more interesting to me..

Great job, Photolady !

What is so nice about the mountain view is it never quite looks the same.

The fall colors are fading fast. Time to gear up for snow I guess!

I like 2 and 4 the best. The one thing I would do with 4 is increase the color temp of the scene as it was shot in the shade. Bring the white foam up to white, and the rest of the photo will reflect the warmth of the Fall color better.

Thanks for the comments. Love hearing from everyone.

I had the same situation where I was torn between the two. Personally, I think the logs would have worked if the sky was cloudy. The reflection of the clouds in the water, joined with the logs floating there, would have had a more complete appearance.

As it was, and we landscape photographers can't control this, nature didn't provide all of the ideal elements. Thus, my choice in my first comments.

I like #1 with the gold of that little aspen grove. Was this on top of Dallas Divide?

Yes it is at Ralph Lauren's Double LR Ranch.
