Great contrast....shot at the right time of day....love the perspective.
Thanks very much for your reply. As I am a new poster and not wanting to offend the UHH audience....please explain your comment, "not a common subject on UHH". What subjects do you recommend?
Love the details.....great work!

There’s been a lot of high-rise apartment construction in Chicago since I retired in 2014. Like many hi-tech professionals, I find construction work intriguing. I have been lucky enough to be imbedded with a few construction Crews working around the city. Over six years, I’ve photograph 17 construction sites, some from groundbreaking to topping-off. This has been a highly educational, challenging and enjoyable experience…..and I am grateful to the different Crews that have allowed me to make some artful progressive photographs of their work activities. I am still active with a few sites, although efforts have slowed under current pandemic conditions. This is my first photo post to UHH….a few select photos from the collections of the building site I have been on....more on my web-site. Thanks for viewing:
Thanks for the advice....yep I;m I'm aware that Adobe has gone mad marketing subscription products. I've tried a variety of settings (file type, bit setting, color space... with not results that will launch the PSE editor.
I'll try the Adobe forum (again)......will post the results when I get some.
Here's something interesting......the LR adjusted files transfer seamlessly to Luminar 4 (a pretty good non-subscription editor).
Hello
I’m new to the forum, but this post was so interesting, I had to comment with a similar situation. First let me say I AGREE completely with your observation about Adobe’s subscription based products! They seem to be getting a little greedy!
I use Adobe Lightroom 6 (version 6.14) that previously worked well with the editor in Adobe Photoshop Elements 14. I recently upgraded to Adobe Photoshop Elements 2020 (PSE20). However, now when I attempt to transfer a photo to PSE20 (opened or closed), the following situations occur:
•Edit a copy with Lightroom Adjustments (preferred choice): PSE20 launches (if closed) After a long (3.5 minute) to wait, I get the following message on the LR screen with an OK button: “The file could not be edited because Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor could not be launched”. When I click the OK button, PSE completes its launch, and the photo file appears in the PSE Editor, and normal editing works.
•Edit a Copy: PSE20 Editor launches or transfers the file immediately, and normal editing is available
•Edit Original: PSE20 Editor launches or transfers the file immediately, and normal editing is available
I’ve tried re-downloading, reinstalling the PSE 2020 upgrade; changed the file settings from 8 bits to 16 bits, but can’t seem to get the smooth workflow that I had with the previous PSE 14 version. So the work-around I have is to open PSE20 and open the files directly from the LR exported (w/Adjustments) files on the hard-drive. Any corrective suggestions would help.
Hello amfoto 1,

I’ve tried re-downloading, reinstalling the PSE 2020 upgrade; changed the file settings from 8 bits to 16 bits and other file handling setting, but can’t seem to get the smooth workflow that I had with the previous PSE 14 version. So the work-around I have is to open PSE20 Editor and open the files directly from the LR exported (w/Adjustments) files on the hard-drive. (That works but any corrective suggestions would also be helpful).
Thanks
