I used to photograph small glass objects and figurines as part of my business. I constructed a small light table of frosted plexiglas. I believe B&H has these for a reasonable price. You then place a light behind the back that shines through the plexiglas. Two lights at 45 degrees are cross-polarized with a on the lens. It’s sounds more complicated than it is

So if I kill the spiders, then I have to buy bug spray or hire an exterminator to kill the insects that the spiders would have taken care of.

Hmmmm. Really glad we are at the top of the food chain.

Have you noticed the OP has not responded to anyone that has given advice so far? Maybe he fell of the earth LOL 😆

Thanks for acknowledging my post Lee.

And why would he/she? Have you read through the thread? The OP asked because they wanted to know. Now they have to pick an answer. Some knowledgeable answers mixed in.... could be sifting.....

Is that a bad thing? A few wadded panties, some supplies from the powder room, a cannon ball, a ramrod, and a flint could make a quite spectacular image!

Lone, that’s funny!!
I was just at the Tour of California and got to shoot the finish line. Maybe twenty of us out there. I did glance around and saw mostly Canon 200 f2’s and 400 f2.8’s and a couple of Nikons!! I tought this year, because of all the noise being made about ML, was the year I’d see some ML out there. Nope, not a single one in sight!!!
Maybe next year the dinosaurs will all be extinct, or maybe these guys are just MANLY!!! LoL
BTW, all hand held!!!

Do you have any examples of where you've used this? Or maybe can you explain what happens to the DoF - you call it redistribution - that allows it to conform to the subject? I don't understand how this works . . .

I don’t either. In my macro work, I take care to watch the “plane of focus”. In other words, I manipulate the camera to keep that part of the macro image I care the most about parallel to the sensor.

So Lucy’s got some ‘splaining to do....

I agree with you on the merits of M+Auto ISO. But remember that the OP is asking about "Full Manual". M+Auto ISO is not Full Manual..... but it's great, isn't it?

Just to play the devils advocate here: When I shot full manual and push-processed the film, how is that different from manual + auto iso?

As I said, "The crop sensor models are definitely lighter" You won't see a big difference in size/weight with the full frame cameras.

I didn’t respond to you....
