I have Windows 10, 2 monitor setup
Would like to display my photos on both screens - but not same photo both screens ( at least not simultaneously) as a screensaver function ( ie when PC idle)
I can get one photo on 1 screen only but dwell time at slow setting is too fast ( about 15 seconds)
So ideally, photo on screen 1 and a different photo on screen 2 show when pc not in use changing every few minutes
Suggestions as to how to do appreciated
Thanks
Ok - so what is being viewed in other raw editors as a raw file is not an image file format? Are other editors applying filters on a file opened de novo? Does this imply each editor makes visible changes to a file ( that might affect how it looks) before any editing is done by the user?
I am just trying to understand what goes on.
Thanks

So WB, black and white and similar adjustments in camera are useful
1 When viewing back of camera result
2 For JPEG output from camera - baked in at that point to those files
3 “suggestions” when raw processing
4 not too much else
I agree too many editors. Just trying to find one that does what expect...
If I shoot a *RAW* photo with a custom White Balance or as a Black and White (set up in camera)
When viewing the shot on the camera, the WB is applied and the photo is as expected
If you view the photo in Adobe Bridge: as it is initially scanned, looks appropriate but when viewed the filters (Custom WB or B&W) are not respected.
If you open the photo in one of many programs I have Affinity, On1, DXO Photo Lab etc: the filter are not respected (even if opened "as shot")
But
If I open in the Nikon NX D (the Raw Processor that Nikon puts out) -> the filters are respected
What is going on please?
Thanks
As I don’t follow this stuff, is there a pattern to Nikon sales?
Are there always sales in October or Black Friday, Xmas, etc?
Thanks
Are the current Nikon sale prices pretty good for a D500 and D7500? Are they once a year?
How would folks compare the quality of the 180140 lens that can come with the sales cameras vs an older 18-200 VR lens? ie, it's "on sale" too and is it a good lens and is the price pretty good?
Thanks
Tried the ColoMunki Smile
Worked pretty well. Dissimilar monitors now both now very similar
Again, I’m not looking for absolute accuracy. Would just like the monitors to look similar.
I guess live with it is best solution....
Going to try Colomunki soon. Hopefully I can calibrate each monitor. Apparently I need to know if my graphics card ( low end 2 gb Radeon) can store 2 LUTS). How can I determine this ?
I have an old 24" 1920X1200 Gateway DCDCD i by Faroudia monitor. Works well (I think). Old
Got a second same size, res monitor - Ultrasharp by Dell - new
The color displays of the two are just not the same. Dell seems less rich. The dark gray backrounds in Bridge are less dark on the Dell monitor, for example. The Windows backround of the runner on the shore is a lighter blue (or perhaps the monitor is brighter if not color shiftef) Not sure how to capture and demonstrate this.
I have fiddled with the settings without a lot of benefit.
But, familiarity with the old monitor may be the culprit. Likely it has dimmed/shifteed over the years and I have just adapted to it. Maybe the Dell is brighter and I just am not used to it and it is more accurate.
I am not that concerned re: absolute accuracy for photography - this is not the issue. The difference between the two is my issue
So would a calibration device be the way to try to even things up? Or are there other techniques to fix my issue. Hate to buy a calibration device for one time use.
If a calibration device is the only solution, can one create a distinct profile for *each* monitor in Windows?
Thanks for suggestions
My DXO account says the upgrade price to Photolab 3 elite is 139 dollars but on sale for 99 dollars. Where’re is the 69.99 upgrade?
I’ll be quite now.
Thanks
