You could use Microsoft power-point and save it as a ppsx or the older pps. You may need to use the compress picture option under the picture format tab if the file size exceeds a size you are able to email and insert a time for each picture to show. The file should run automatically when it's clicked on.

You may not have the dexterity you need, however I have found that neoprene wet suit gloves are the best thing for cold hands. I have used them to ride motorcycle in below zero weather and my hands never got cold and also while hunting in the snow. They are available with fingers or as mittens. The mittens are warm but they wouldn't work for photography they have no dexterity at all.

I am sure polonois that you know that the best time to visit South Florida is during wintertime. I have been photographing Key Biscayne for more than 45 years and every time I go I find something worth the visit. The city has spent good money renovating the beaches and other public places.
It is more beautiful than it ever was. Good place to spend a day.

Thank you, yes winter is best.
Did you take any good shots of the Cape Florida light house lately?
I found Crandon Park has many photo opps. I might try to get down this winter if my wife can get off work.

I have been visiting the island of Key Biscayne for over 40 years. It has been my favorite spot to photograph sunsets in wintertime. The island is a barrier island located here in Miami-Dade County and my estimate is that it can be reached by car from downtown Miami, depending on traffic, in approximately 15 minutes via Biscayne Boulevard. Key Biscayne lies south of Miami Beach and it is connected to the mainland by the Rickenbacker Causeway. It is not part of the Florida Keys.

The northern part of the island is home to Crandon Park, a county park with a few beaches that become very popular in summer but have many attractions in wintertime also, one of them a post for the renting of kayaks and sail boats. The mid section of the island consists of the Key Biscayne Village, a beautiful community with luxury apartment buildings and some good restaurants. The southern part of the island is a protected area, the Bill Bracks Cape Florida State Park. There is a lighthouse here surrounded by history. It is called the Cape Florida lighthouse. The lighthouse was attacked and burned by the Seminole Indians in 1836 but repairs were not done till 1847. It has seen quite a few hurricanes ever since but with minor damage.

Key Biscayne during the 1800s had coconut and pineapple plantations. The coconut plants were imported from Mexico and the Caribbean islands. Cape Florida became officially a park in 1967. During my visit there were so many people visiting that I decided not to visit Cape Florida but I will be back. There is a beach there by the lighthouse that is not only beautiful but very popular. There is a nearby marina with an excellent restaurant. I know recreational boats anchor there to spend the night but I do not know if there are renting facilities there for visitors. There are a few of them in the village of Key Biscayne.

Many tourists visit the island during the winter months while our South Americans neighbors make it popular during the summer months. It is a beautiful island and if you visit Miami make it one of your stops. I bet you will not regret it and the Miami Seaquarium is located here on the Rickenbacker Causeway adjacent to a large building belonging to the University of Miami for marine science studies. Across the bridge, going East in the direction of the village, there is a Miami Dade-County marina called Crandon Park Marina, a very popular marina for recreational boaters.

I spent most of the afternoon there with my wife and we both enjoyed the views and the beautiful weather with a cool marine breeze. Here are some of the images I made with my Olympus OM-1 and Zuiko 12-40 f2.8 Pro lens. For some of the images I used an old non circular Tiffen polarizer for a more dramatic sky.

The first two images were made at the kayaks and sail boats renting place at the Rickenbacker Causeway. The third shot of the buildings located in Biscayne Boulevard was made from the parking lot looking north. A short walk from the parking lot toward the east there is another parking lot where fisherman go to do some fishing. There is a big bridge here that connects the mainland with the island. The fourth shot with the palms was made from the parking lot just near the bridge.
The last two shots are from the sunset at the Crandon Park Marina looking toward the city of Miami southwest area.

Incidentally, although I checked Store Original as you can see only one of the shots can be enlarged for better viewing. I apologize for that.

Nice photos, makes me want to visit. I used to go there every year. I haven't been there in a few years. It might be time. I guess the Miami Seaquarium and Planet Ocean are closed. My kids use to enjoy them.

Some people claim that this song was created by a pilgrim boy who sailed to America on the Mayflower. There he saw cradles made out of birch bark hanging from the trees. (That's how some Native Americans made them in those days.) The boy then wrote down the song.

That is not the situation with covid.

I agree, This is my last post on the subject. Have fun arguing among yourselves. In 5 years if you don't have an autoimmune disease from the vaccine. I will apologize. Have a nice day.

This is the most stupid thing I have heard, to claim this vaccine is unproven and unapproved. In fact, it is completely approved, and all you have to do is listen to any news (with an open mind) to learn that where the vaccination rates are higher, the Covid rates are lower. Stop making unfounded, misleading comments that may lead to anyone not getting the vaccine. That affects us all, physically, financially and mentally!

What a load of Bull
You stop spread lies.

Stop listening to the media.
I think you need to read what was really approved. The NAME (COMIRNATY)was fully approved to market and sell it as COMIRNATY. Not the Vaccine itself. The Vaccine is still Emergency Use Authorization (EUA). The EUA was extended on Nov. 19th top include people of different age groups and to include the booster shots.

I re-read my comments to you and am sorry I was a little too tough on you. You seem pretty reasonable.
Glad to hear you and your family survived Covid. My family was not so fortunate, and those that didn’t survive were unvaccinated. Lots of variables.
The day in January I saw Dr. Fauci and his family get vaccinated was good enough for me. I’ve also seen too many ER doctors and epidemiologists on TV talk about the fact that the vast majority of people dying are unvaccinated that I don’t doubt what they’re saying.
Good luck to you in the future.

Thank you, I am sorry for your loss. It's always hard when you lose a love one. It would be nice if no one would die. It is really hard to weed out the truth about this whole mess. There is so much misinformation and sensationalism in the news. Keep the faith.

[quote=Horseart]I used to love horror movies. As I aged, I began to think that's where all the bad guys got their ideas.

I apologize for this thread. I didn't mean for it to turn into a debate about what "I" think about fairy tales OR debates about the vax. I half way expected that to happen but hoped it wouldn't.

Thanks for your comment.[/quot

There is no need to apologize.
It's sad, This is what happens when a country is being run on feelings and emotions instead of law.
God help us all.

Guess you failed statistics in college.

Guess you know more than epidemiologists, who are experts in their field.

Guess you feel the risk of dying is no big deal.

Guess you feel if you get Covid you can always take that cow pill, Ivermectin.

Guess you feel you can always drink bleach, like your leader recommended.

Guess you watch Fox News.

Sorry, I didn't fail anything. I have a Master degree in molecular biology. I also don't think Ivermectin is of much value for covid however it is good for infections caused by some parasitic worms and head lice and skin conditions like rosacea. Anyone who takes cow meds isn't wrapped to begin with. I think the bleach thing was taken out of context. That is not exactly what was said. I never watch fox news or listen to the fear mongering media. Please note not everything you see on TV and in the news is always the whole truth. I'm still waiting for the giant tidal wave to hit the east coast and a bomb cyclone to kill me.

I had covid as did my daughter and my wife, she was on a respirator. My mother had covid and she's is 92, not vaccinated and was only in the hospital for 3 days. Eleven people in my congregation have it as you read this. They were all vaccinated. My daughter in-law is an RN and told me on Friday that thanksgiving day that they had 9 people at their ER show up with covid and everyone was vaccinated. Two are currently on respirators.
