I have a 5100, trying to understand your problem. The first thing that comes to my mind is that the mirror is locked UP.

I'm really surprised that nobody has commented on this!!?? He hit it right on the head. To make things change, WE have to change. The definition of "Insanity" is, doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results. Let's figure out what we're doing wrong and Change it so that it works better.

I'm not too sure what joboX is talking about with "back focus" (will utube it to get more info), but I've had my D5100 for about 8 months now and I am very happy with it except that it does seem to have a focus problem. My prints aren't "Tack Sharp" like I'd like them to be. Perhaps the problem is the settings, (as mentioned, there are lots of buttons). Every time that I shoot, I try other settings to try and improve my photos. Sometimes I think that I need Tutorial. Very Complex Camera but Very Fun as well. I enjoy the Challenge. It's not a bad choice, but I would check out other possibilities as well.

You Know what boys and girls? You are ALL MISSING THE POINT!!! The Point IS that GOD made us "Boys" and "Girls" to grow up to become "Men" and "Women", able to make our own choices, and the choices that we make will determine, and are determining, our future. The Nation as a whole is now suffering and will suffer greater things than these based on our choices. God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve, and he has NO Tolerance for such acts. Open your eyes folks, God is not going to turn his head the other way and say "OH WELL!!??. He Gave Extremely Harsh Punishments to the people of the Old Testament, and we will be be held accountable for our actions as well, and I'm not talking just about those who choose to participate in sexual sins but also those who turn their heads the other way and say "I think that they should have the same rights as heterosexuals". God said in "The Bible" that it is an ABOMINATION to him. That means that is Detestable, Vulgar, Obscene, Unclean, and Unacceptable!!!! We as a Nation are sliding into Debauchery with our permissive attitudes and Antics. Wake Up People!! If you want this Country to turn around and become something that we can ALL live with, then WE need to turn around and look to God for guidance, and start Serving Him and not ourselves or a political party association. You all seem to be very Intellectual people, which means that you probably read a lot and study a lot. My advice to you would be to start studying "The Bible" and getting your hearts and minds right with GOD. Before it's too late to save this great country that we All call Home.

Hey, Thanks Everybody!! I sure enjoy getting good shots of wildlife. I got a Bobcat the other day, but I won't post it cause I'm not satisfied with it. I Do know where Newton and Hutchinson are. I have traveled the state extensively in my business but I'm sure that I have missed some towns. I Hate the Cold Too!! It Was 8 degrees yesterday morning. Yuk! Thanks again everybody!!!!
