Why do the CF cards cost so much more? 2.3x more than the SD Card.

This is something I never could understand. The CF cards are not even as universal as the SD cards are. As far as I know the card isn't going to make a difference in the quality of the photographs, that's all in sensors and formats RAW being highest of all.

Will this work on a canon 5d markii

Manually yes. Auto no. It will take some practice to keep the exposure corrected but I've learned that on the digital EOS camera's it's all within the aperture settings anything from f/11 and up is a start depending on the darkness of the area.

Your second item, the Canon mount Auto Sears MC F 2.8-135mm is listed on eBay for $30. The lens does not appear to have any contacts on the rear to allow auto-focus, etc. Let me know if yours is a different lens. I have a Canon EOS D60. Carl Heineck: heineck1375@bellsouth.net

The sears was an AF model, however, it was sold around noon today. Sorry.

Looks like DOF might be your only drawback here, good ideas though. If DOF gets to be a headache, you can use "Combine ZM", a free software made for stacking macro shots with different focus points into one shot with unlimited depth of field. Interested to see your final results. Good luck.

I can actually adjust the dept of field with the old lens... I will look into that program though sounds like it could come in handy. I was using CS5 to do stacking but it's difficult to get a good out come with CS5. Thanks for the "good luck"! I will post some of the finished products.

What did you do, use an adaptor to stack the lenses thread to thread? Looks pretty sharp for a first effort.

Thanks. I actually have not constructed the body mount yet but intend to do so today.

I took the old lens which is a 52mm Dia. and took the mount completely off leaving the front lens on this created a body to work from then I held the body to the lens with a lens hood that is 58mm to protect my digital lens and to leave a 1/2in gap between the two lens. Holding it there I was able to take the above shot. Everything still works the same as far as setting on the camera but I still need to construct a lens (T-mount) on the body of the now (macro) lens so I will need some step down rings which I should be getting today. I'll post the full steps later so that I can finish constructing to be 100% positive it will continue to work properly.

btw: I spot metered the tip of Washington's nose....

I used a Digital Canon 1:3.5-4.5 70-210mm lens and an old film camera 1:2.8 135mm lens to do this. What do you think?

I use dot mode to focus because I like my surrounding as out of focus as possible. Also, the construction is not complete, this is only a test of the product.

after (Low Light same quarter)

Not sure it's worth value today but was around the 249.00 mark when purchased for my old Canon A1. This is for film camera's but can be used with digital with some practice. I have used this Flash maybe 300-400 times total est.

For information on this click the link below.
http://www.cordcamera.com/Promaster-FTD-5700-High-Power-Electronic-Flash-P204.aspx

I found it online selling for 119.99 but online items are normally over priced. Make me a reasonable offer and include shipping at 14.00 signature will be required.

This flash unit is in great condition and works flawlessly. Manual mode includes 1/16 and full or use it on full Auto mode. It's a great buy.

NOTE: stock photograph (not my photograph)

I think this couple of days has made me realize that "this forum is one of many things I like to turn to." I owe all of you so "I'm sorry".

It's just really upsetting to see some of the things that go on here. The admin don't help out any at all, even though he/she can. All it takes is a click of a button and he/she can get the bad ones out, or, he/she could even add an ignore button.

I absolutely refuse to make things right with one person... I'll just make sure I don't read his post...

I think I was on this forum way to much and just needed some time away, I feel better now being able to just go out and shoot a sum of around 4000 photographs.

I hope you all will forgive me and my rude ways but if not, I completely understand...

Thanks
