It’s not used to date rocks!
Potassium-Argon is used to date rocks. It works the same way as C-14 but using the isotopes of Potassium and Argon 1/2 lives which go into the tens of millions of years.
Inorganic material can't be dated with C-14 because it has no way to accumulate organic carbon materials.
But Melania managed to date a rock, and that produced Boron, not carbon...., go figure!!! LoL
