Any good photo album with acid free sleeves will protect the photographs reasonably well. The key will be acid free and keep them in the dark, they'll last longer than they will ever need them. Check B+H, they have a pretty good selections of supplies.

I have the Rokinon 8mm with the chip and use it on my 7200 without a problem. It's a fun lens.

I read the suggestions to not use a ball head but no reason is given. I just bought a Tamron 150-600 and tried it out at the local hockey arena using a monopod and ball head. Admittedly, it was a little too much lens for the arena but I had some excellent results. I had no problems using it and during quiet times the camera could be tilted back to max where it took the weight off me. Of course I still had to pay attention to balance but overall I found this to be a very good option. So instead of listening to "oh don't do that cause I read it on the web" I'd like to know why I shouldn't use a ball head.

If you have never used a tilt head it's hard to explain. Tilt heads only give you 2 levels of motion; up and down and circular and with a monopod that's all you need. Anything else you just tilt the monopod. Tilt heads give you a little better control with less adjustment problems. I've tried both and would never go back to a ball head on my monopod. I much prefer the tilt head.

That monopod tilt head link was wrong. Here it is : https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/892554-REG/Sirui_bsrl10_L_Series_Monopod_Tilt.html?sts=pi

Check Sirui monopods. I own this one:

along with their L-10 tilt head:

Best I've found yet, and the feet give you a lot more lateral stability whil still being a monopod.

Yes Jerry I did not learn to read in school... Dick, Jane, Spot, and Baby Sally did not interest me... I learned by "speed reading" Berma Shave signs that were philosophical "Take A Photo Every Day" "Images 100 Years To Stay" "Archival Epson Wins The Day" ... Burma Shave.

There is 5-8 ml of ink in Canon carts at the Canon store... and the printer shows "empty" before it is really empty... "Replace Cartridge" Assume 5ml of ink is useful, then 1000ml is 200 refills !! Of each. Canon store 8 pack for pro 100 is $125... 200 x $125= $25,000 aaaha er aaa is my calculation wrong???? Yes, I forgot the cost of the kit... $125 so savings is only $24, 875... Sure tell me that it may shorten the life of the printer... I paid $100 for mine and got $50 of Canon paper... I could afford to buy an occasional printer if non OEM ink caused an early death.

So the $124.98 set is probably the best one to get?

That one will last you quite a while Jerry. That's the set I bought and after you have used up the ink in the set you just need to purchase ink as you need it.

Are there significant differences between the first three kits shown?

Amount of ink and syringe fill vs. top fill. I prefer the top fill so I'm not messing with a lot of syringes. The only cart you should not reuse is the yellow the first time you recondition your own set of cartriges so be sure you have a least that one extra cartridge. Jose has a great video on how to do the refill as well as how to recondition the carts.

Try http://precisioncolors.com/ to refill you own. Look for Jose Rodriguez on YouTube for complete instructions on how to do it.

Gamble's are great especially with long lenses that have tripod connections on the lens. Long lenses is where I use the Gimbal almost exclusively, I would only use a ball head when connecting the camera directly to the head. For me the Gimbal really makes a difference outdoors.

Considering that it still works and gives you good photos you should be fine. The need to upgrade to a newer camera would be based on if your need to enlarge your photos bigger than 8X10 you might see some difference with say a 24Mp vs. your 10.2Mp. I still use a 12Mp d5000 but I had it converted to an infrared camera and I still get greats shots from it and it's a lot of fun to use.
