O.K. so this is not factual some of you may call it art or plain dislike it . But I do this a lot just to learn new techniques and become more familiar with the tools available . Oh and the Eagle is real !

I don't often use the expression, but WOW. Uncannily well-timed captures, super sharp renderings and blow-me-away framing of this regal bird and it's prey. The eagle is looking right into your soul. To be honest, the frame does not add to the image, IMO, but that is entirely personal taste. I am not sure that any bird photographers could best those shots, you took full advantage of the lighting and were fully prepared once you had the bird in your sights. Many kudos should be given here. Please stay well and keep up the magnificent work. Hope you ate the other traditional bird!

Thanks for your kind words . I am very much a amateur but also very dedicated . And yes I did eat the bird . Stay well !
Few recent Eagles from my area
Shay number four in the old town of Cass West Virginia . Town hasn't changed much . Still old Homes , boardwalks , white picket fences , jail , old store with the original wooden plank floors , soda fountain and old glass candy cases and church is still there . Some of the old houses are modernized on the inside as overnight rentals ! One more reason I enjoy Cass

Beautiful renderings of great captures. Lovely trains, which reminds me, there is a "Trains" forum on the site. They might enjoy the narrative and the images over there. Please stay well and keep up the great work.
Thanks ! Ill check it out

Thanks for the great pictures. I've been there. Love steam locomotives and especially Shay locomotives. Thanks for the memories!
Thank you .Love Cass and Shays . Actually all steam
Here's some old timey stuff and a bit of History . First of all these locomotives represent all three types of geared locomotives . Geared locomotives are all wheel drive and designed to climb the steep mountains and were mostly used on the lumber railroads . Top speed was around thirty miles per hour as it was not really important . It just had to handle large loads on steep grades , some as much as twelve percent ! So steep in fact there were many switchbacks . Switchbacks were like zigzagging up sides of very steep mountains . These are for each type quite rare in themselves but to have all three at one railroad is quite exceptional . I'm not positive but I think Cass is the only steam railroad to have all three and I think they have at least six Shays ! And the old town where Heisler number six is is in the Town of Durbin West virginia . No big stores , no gas stations , no cellphone service , no red lights , just a couple small shops and a restaurant . Pretty neat ! I think I have become a steam train aholic and hopefully I have all this correct however if I don't my apologies ! Types of locomotives are all on the Bottom of frames . Enjoy !
