Has anyone recently used the new PAYBOO Card from B&H when making a purchase? Is the tax immediately credited to your purchase or is this just a credit against future purchases? What are the Pro's & Con's of using this method of payment? And do you find it worth opening a new credit card?

I’ve used it many times. Tax is taken out immediately as long as you pay the bill in full. You can save a lot on big ticket items. Even the small items add up. No downside as far as I am concerned.

I made this image while the ship was at anchor in quiet Neko Bay. I am facing the opposite direction of the side lit glacier posted a couple of days ago. 9 images stitched with multiple PS layers. File is over 2 GB in size.

Beautiful! Nicely done!

Nice capture! I prefer the color. The gentleman’s outfit stands out nicely against the building, which is nearly black and white.

"The Cotswolds" is a unique region in the English “countryside” that includes beautiful scenery and many wonderful villages. Construction is largely of the local limestone that ranges from a cream-color to yellow to actual honey-orange in many cases. The region begins to the west of Oxford. It’s really a wonderful destination for artists and photographers...Well, for anyone, really. Here is a tiny sample of photos from a recent visit that I'd hope would give a sense of what you'd see there. I also hope you enjoy seeing them.

Why do people get all hyped up over pancake lenses?
Do they buy just to be hip but never use them and go back to the standard range zoom lens after a couple of hours leaving the pancake on the shelf collecting dust?

I have the 40mm f2 on my Nikon Z6ii. As previously mentioned, it’s more of a cupcake than a pancake. However, it is small, light, very sharp and a good fit for most situations. I took it, along with my 24-70, on two extensive vacations this past summer and fall. It never came off my camera! There were a few times I would have liked a bit more reach or a wider field of view. Overall, it is an extremely nice, light walk around lens that I found nearly perfect for vacations. Carrying it all day was a breeze.

When you drive your car, do you see black spots in front of you? You should. The spots are on your windshield.

Modern windshields are glued in place, and there is a black stripe around the edge of the windshield to help hide the glue. To make the transition from clear to black less harsh, they add those black dots. All that black coloring is baked onto the windshield so it's going to remain there. Another reason for the black material is to absorb heat. The glass must be heated so it can be bent into shape. The black absorbs heat better, making the glass heat faster and more evenly.

Are you sure it’s not your floaters?
