Beautiful shot! How did the nephew do???

My nephew did great. He was shocked at his results. It was his first time shooting in manual, and using a tripod.

Didn't have much time taking night photos on this trip. Here's one I took while teaching my nephew how to shoot at night.

Here's another one from my travels. This is what comes to mind when I think of Paris. The Notre Dame Cathedral with the street vendors on each side of the Seine.

Great pictures of an amazing structure! Haven't been back there in years. Can you still go to the top, or in today's calamitous world, have they closed it off?

You can still go to the top of the tower. I prefer to go to the rooftop of Montparnasse Tower. Much better view of the city from there.

I like your point of view. But who did you have to pay to get the great sky for the shot? Most of the time when I shoot I end up with a so-so sky. Anyway, it is a great Paris shot with different point of view.

Every time I go to Paris it rains. That's why I keep shooting in black and white. The sky always has lots of drama when the rain comes.

Went back to Paris again last week. I never get tired shooting the Eiffel Tower. Here's a slightly different view.

I was wondering if any of you fellow Hoggers could help me out. I was asked to lead a photowalk but I'm not sure what is involved.

Gorgeous photo - the use of white space enhancing the black-and-white; the depth of field emphasizing the sharp eyes; your catching this wonderful pose and expression!!!

Thanks Edie. I'm glad you stopped to take a look.

Beauty taken beautifully. Love the way B/W shows so much additional content than color.

Greg

Thanks Greg. I'm doing more and more B+W these days. Takes me back to my film days.
