The picture is quite clear and the bird looks quite interesting. As you point out, the problem is the background. Dirt and brown sticks are hard to work with. Also, mid day lighting can be tough.

It is a good shot with great bokeh. If possible, I would lighten it up under the eyes a tad and warm up the temperature slightly. The composition is quite good and your model is very pretty with wonderful eyes.
