yep...I have a SSD on my home desktop.....that is partly why I worry about speed when I switch to an external drive for the summer.....thanks for the ideas
I am about to migrate north for the summer and want to put both my LR catalog and all the (60,000) pictures on an external drive for use on a desktop up north.
I am worried about how much LR will slow down.
I have a WD MyBook WDC WD30EZRX drive. It is a couple years old. I could use it.
Is there an equally reliable, but significantly faster drive that I should consider using?
Thanks for any help
..I had the same problem....ended up chatting with Adobe chat help....needed to delete a bunch of corrupted folders.....not fun...but they walked me through it....
thanks....I am already subscribed.....so, just thinking about waiting a while to convert/upgrade........do you think the issue you are having is something they will eventually fix?

Is there a reason to wait a while to upgrade to LR Creative Cloud.....are there likely to be bugs in the early version???
