Amazing geography. Amazing shot. The download becomes an adventure.
Thanks.

"Terrible" is putting it mildly. Get closer to your subject, watch the exposure, and try not to put the subject smack dab in the middle.

phlash46 clearly stated that his pic was "terrible" and that it was shot with an "iPhone" but apparently you want to double down on the obvious.

Wonderful opportunities for great shots. But unfortunately your exposures are questionable and much worse, you're out of focus on everything. Sorry.

[quote=James56]Hi Folks, was out camping with my wife and enjoying the great outdoors when this Robin landed just a few feet away. I thought "Cool, what a great picture that'd make". Having my camera next to me, I got this shot that I'd like to share. Hope you enjoy it and thanks for stopping by to look. [quote]

James, this is a very nice image and an opportune grab of your camera. I've never seen a robin with this coloration. And I'm in Nashville too.
Thanks.

What do you think? Cropped a little and otherwise SOOC

Beautiful. Depth. Depth. More depth. And sharp, I'd say perfect exposure. That's what I think. Europe somewhere?
Thanks.

[quote=greymule]Shot from Museum and over City Park.
What a massive shot greymule. Download is spectacular- everything in sharp focus. Your particular camera location almost makes those Rockies look like eastern foothills but the download reveals wonderful depth. If you don't mind, what lens were you using?

Did a late afternoon ride up to where the bluebirds are nesting and got a few good shots! I don't usually go up that way in the afternoon but after this I might just change my mind!

THAT is quite a collection - wonderful colors and exposures. And your settings seem to be spot on. There are more than one wall hanger amongst the lot.
Thanks for sharing.

I thought he had given up and was going to try a new spot when he jerked his head sideways and came up with this prize.
Taken at Arthur R. Marshall Wildlife Preserve at north end of the Everglades.

You're fortunate that there's always a bit of a lapse between thought and action. I'm impressed that you stayed in position - it was obviously worth it.
Thanks.

*Note, just a trucker, so most shots that I post are going to be from what I can catch as I travel.
Just looking to get a bit better at this.

Wonderful, stirring images - I want to hit the road NOW!

I was expecting them for some time but I just spotted this mother with 9 kids yesterday. They were far, barely visible by the naked eye, but is shall try again today. Hopefully making better pictures. Probably there will be fewer ducklings as a large heron was not far. I would not post normally the last two images but I got emotional.
Taken in Alexandria VA with a sx70hs with the zoom extended to about 2000mm.

Well sergio, I think #3 is fascinating: mom on guard and a little shelter for the young'uns should keep that big blue predator away.
Nice shots - glad you posted all three.

Sounds right, but it's going to be later here (Haines Falls, northern Catskills in upstate NY). Your delicate subject appeared to be without blemish, no sign of mishap. I thought this alternative scenario would make it a happier memory for you.

Got any more lying around? Happy memories I mean :<)

Instead of wing damage, I see unmarred, perfect wings on a tiger swallowtail newly emerged from its chrysalis. It takes several hours before its wings form completely and the insect can fly. In the meantime, it hobbles along as well as it can in search of a perch from which to spring aloft.

Thanks for this - makes perfect sense. And I reckon mid to late April is about the right time to emerge?
