Thanks MissStephie, the stationary one was out my car window! The others were all in a burst when he flew passed and hovered over the deck I was on. He likes to sit there when no humans are around.

I found these three birds very close together over only a very short time frame. A swampy area off a scary creek in Murrells Inlet, SC. The creeper is only the third time I've seen one and not in the last few years.

Always interested in constructive criticism just wasn't sure what you meant by muddy, lol! There is no way to prepare for this kingfisher appearance (he showed up out of the blue), you just hope they keep happening. I was set for a slight underexposure (F/7.1 1/8000 sec ISO 2500 -0.3 eV) because of all the white birds in the area. I probably could have used a lower ISO, but depending on the direction of the sun I choose to err on the side of the faster shutter speed since there were fast ducks in the area. I'll check out the website! Thanks!

Steffro1 - I'm by no means being critical, I think those are great shots. But, I coincidentally happened to see this today:

Please define muddy, all the shots were processed from raw in CS6.

These guys are really tough to catch and you have done a great job. Just me, but the shots seem a bit muddy. A little pp could go a long way to snap these up a bit. Good job!

Thanks Arthur, he flew by the deck I was on and hovered there for what seemed like a long time for them!

Thanks Dan, the one of it sitting still was taken from my car. They apparently don't fear cars as so many pass by them. Try getting out and they are gone in a flash!

Good work - kingfishers tend to me shyer than most birds, and they're very fast, so it's hard to get shots like you did.
