OK, so this only involves the death or killing of mankind. I'm sure that in the grand scheme of things, animals killed by other animals, the numbers would be quite different. For the statistics outlined here, the title could have been more specific.

Depending on what your intent is I would think that you may be wanting to fill the frame with the bottle cap. If this is correct I'm thinking none of your current lenses are capable of focusing close enough to do this. An extension tube on the Nifty 50 may do the trick and would be much less costly than a new lens. You may also require an off camera flash and set up similar to what would be used for macro photography. For more information check the "True Macro" forum and the "Close Up" forum.

These were all very good. I'm always surprised by the ingenuity of others. All to often I ask, "Why didn't I think of that?"

Yes I had exactly the same thing happen quite a long while back. My response to the caller, a male with an Indian accent, was much the same as yours. I declined to do anything he asked and he actually became angry with me. I basically told him to "go fly a kite" or "take a long walk on a short pier".

I just received a strange phone call from (Supposedly) a Microsoft rep/agent.
A gentleman with a distinct Indian accent called a little while ago. He told me that my computer was infected with malware and/or viruses and he was calling from MS to help me. He told me to press the Windows key and type something like eventxxx at the prompt. I told him that I was very leery about typing anything in and running any program at someone who purportedly represents Microsoft.
He then told me that he knew my unique ID number and told me to write it down. He the told me to run MSCONFIG from the prompt and type in ASSOC which would match the number he gave me beforehand and prove he was legit. While he was talking to me I looked at the reports from Malwarebytes and Norton and they showed nothing.
I then told him that I very reluctant to do anything he suggested via a "phone call from Microsoft."
I said that unless I received an official email from MS, I wasn't going to run any programs from someone who made a personal call to me.
He said goodbye and hung up.
I then decided to back check the number he called me from and the app said it was an invalid number.
Has anything similar happened to any of you?
What are your thoughts?

Those numbers, are the score achieved via votes.
When another person votes on an image they like it gets scored. If that same person votes on multiple photos the score of the vote get divided amongst the images voted on.
For example if I voted on 2 images each would get 0.5 of my vote.
Therefore the decimal number is the score achieved and the number in parenthesis is the number of votes it took to get that score.

What do the numbers beneath photos in the photo contest section mean? There was a decimal number and a number in parenthesis.

On board with this one. It helped me out and Bryan has a way of making his books easy to follow and understand.
