Hi everyone,
This is my first post since joining UHH. I recently got a D7000 and OMG....the things this camera does ! In the time I have been looking at this site, I have learned a lot already about this awesome tool. Anyway..... I have a pic I'd like to share but it would probably be a good idea for me to protect it (copyright?). What is the best and easiest way to do that? I've read threads about the subject like imbedding info in the pic...etc, but thought I'd ask the question outright.... Thanks to all....

Welcome aboard.

I used to have the SRT201; still have a Minolta Hi-matic 7S rangefinder.

I still use the 101... :-) Thanks for the welcome!

Learning about digital photography can be challenging, but it's easire than learning to swing a 7 iron. Improving in both are egually rewarding.

Thanks for the welcome wolfbay.... I am outdoors a lot (as one might think) and will be shooting a variety of venues. Wildlife, landscapes, golf shots & tournaments, in addition to casual portraits. I leaned towards the D7000 because from most of the pro shooters I've read reviews from, it looks like one of my best choices for real good quality and versitility while staying in the DX lens format. Since I don't have any glass yet I thought it would be a more cost effective direction than going FX (body and glass). Good analogy with the golf equip and lens. I do understand it is so important. I believe in photography just as in golf, it's the skill/talent/God given gift/ thats inside the holder of that equipment that produces GREAT shots. I can remember a time when I was shooting a lot of film and got to a point where I could sense the right settings kinda organically..... Is that still possible in the digital world? I know PP can make up for a lot of sins.......but thats like the guy that shoots 77 with 24 putts...... great putter but it looked horrible.... :-)

Hi Everyone,
I'm a golf pro from mid NY State. I've been into photography since I bought my Minolta srt101 when it was new.... (a few years ago... :o). I've had a few decent p&s cameras in the last 13 years or so, but I am on the verge of getting a D7000 as my first DSLR. (ok remember this is a family site so wipe what you are thinking of me right now outta your head) I know it's a lot of camera for my first dslr but jeezzzz, wouldn't you do it if ya could? I'm not Mr. moneybags... the deal involves some trading of services (I'm a golf pro) but damn....look at what great camera I'll be using as I learn from all you guys....... on a more serious side... thanks for all you guys do for all of us newbies....
