Saw that yesterday, foto - and while the imaging is deep and rich, it's almost "too perfect", if you get my drift. Love HDR, but these pics seem a bit overdone. Others may have different take. Thanks for putting this up there, though - great minds think alike!

I was more interested in what the range of our eye compared to film compared to jpg compared to raw and all those that say hdr is fake not something they will do. As our dynamic range increases with sensors and software. I put it on the same level as those that 5 to 10 years ago felt digital would not replace film no way no how. I just keep trying to keep up and expand my love for photography.

If your work flow follows this it should show up in the catalog. Start in lr find the image you want to work on. Click on the image once to select it, then right click on it and go down the contextual menu to edit in and slide over to PS. Your image will open in ps make your changes in ps now just do a normal save. It will save the image with the same name and a tiff extension and place it back in your catalog right next to the original image.

...The scene is brownish for two reasons. First, the time of year, the growing season is over, hence brown leave. Second, there is a very high iron oxide level in this area, contributing to the color of the rocks. Actually, there was iron mining here back in the 1800's.

Thank you. That makes sense.

Thanks Adirondack Hiker for introducing me to a new product I did not know it was out there, I'll try out the demo.

Price is now the same as Photomatix
Although Photomatix is the 'gold standard' for HDR, in my opinion, There is another program out there that is very very good. HDR- Express. (Just reviewed in Shutterbig Feb edition.) I bought my copy on-line for $30 if I recall. It was written by a professor in texas with his team. The interesting fact about this program is that all processing is done in 32bit so it uses every bit of info in your original raw files. Once processed you can save as 8 or 16bit Tiff's. for further processing.
The program is very user friendly.

I am always amazed that if you have to explain your photo or defend what you did, that maybe you need to re-evaluate what you did since others did not see what you are trying to get across. If you don't want to evaluated criticism of your work, maybe you should not share it. If all you want is a pat on the back upload to flickr and show your friends.

Wow, you sound angry

Just the opposite I put my images out there and take it all in to see what people see to improve my sight. When I say something about an image I try to phrase it so that their is a specific change I am seeing that is needed

Thanks to all replies. I was trying to answer, but my replies were not done correctly, they are separate from your help...sorry, first time.

I do have Iphoto listed as I also have desktop and pictures under favorites BUT the actual iphoto program opens. what I want is to have all my events listed as I have my picture folders so when I click on one it will open in bridge and I can carry on.

Thanks

You will need to duplicate the iphoto folder picture folder so it is not hidden from bridge.

Iphoto changed it way it stores files. If you are looking to use bridge for your organizing which I think is a better method, you will need to not import your image using iphoto

Have not used iphoto in a while, but it appears that if you use their default setup that they hide the folder and make it so you can not search for it. I image that way people don't throw out photo's by accident.

Here is a pdf of a work around for you.

Hope this solves the problem
