If I decide to sell any cameras, I'll post them here.

I have used eBay inconsistently over the years. That use has decreased to nearly nil. Their payment policies and charges were out of hand in my estimation so H have not tried to sell anything there for several years. buying is also a crap shoot because the descriptions often are misleading and not totally accurate.

Great catch, by the kid and the photographer.

Now, we have to dial the area code, the exchange, and the number, for a total of ten digits to call the house next door.

I can remember the party lines and having to wait to hear "Central" or "Number please" to make a call then we went through the steps you described. Now however, if we forget to dial the 1, even for a call to next door, we hear that God awful screeching sound and a reminder that "10 digit dialing is not available in this area."

That looks about right to cover all the various medically and voluntarily induced diets necessary.

Since I went blind in my right eye and partially blind in my left, I gave up......but yesterday I asked myself WHY, My 7200 has a live view mode. I tried a few in manual but they weren't coming out good. So I switched it to Auto and got a few that were ok, but could still be improved on. Next I'll try P(rofessional). It's hard holding the camera still while the mirror does its job. Another thing that bothered me is the focus point kept changing, mostly to the right

Here's a few I took yesterday.

I've mentioned this before, and I'm mentioning it again. I tend to misplace things, not making a mental note of where I left them, so I can't find them later. A couple of years ago, I bought a Tascam audio recorder. I wanted to use it a few weeks ago, but I couldn't find it. What did I do? Naturally, I bought another one. I got that setup and put it carefully away. Guess what happened next? Right. I can't find it. 🤣

I haven't done a thorough search - ripping up the carpet, checking the dog's poo, looking in the ashes from the wood stove - so I haven't given up hope. It's been only a week, so I'll look everywhere. Of course, I "looked everywhere" for the first one I bought. However this turns out, I'm not buying another one. I bet I'll trip over it while walking to the bathroom at 3:00 AM someday.

This suggests a good reason for cell phones. Whenever you finish using an item that will be used again in the future, put it in the safe place and take a cell phone photo of it and the space in which it is placed. Next time you want it, look through the cell phone photos and there it is.

I use a CC for everything because the two cards I use pay "Rewards."

There are many establishments that provide a reward for paying cash. I have seen many offering discounts of 5 to 10 percent off when paid with cash. The best rewards I've seen for credit cards are 5% or less.

Yes, I play both sides, if no discount for cash I may use the credit card.

It's unfortunate that we have the terminology we do in photography. "I'm going out to shoot some kids." "Be sure to get head shots."

When you out in public with people around, someone could call the police if they overheard that conversation. I try to avoid "shoot" and "shots," but it ain't easy.

Another thing is the names of cameras. Nikon had the F series - the FTN - and then they went to digital - Z 6. Why, oh why, did they put a space after the Z in the digital names? Z 6, Z 7? Look online, and you'll see them written with and without the space. And then they introduced the Zf and the Z fc. Did they run out of numbers? I've lost track of spacing in the Zf names. Nikon isn't the only camera company with bad model names. For companies with such clever people, they should be able to come up with consistent names that let the public know what kind of a cameras they are seeing.

I have to leave now and buy a microwave. I feel like we're cavemen here without a working microwave.

Think back to the film camera days. A similar type of nomenclature was used.

I can buy one Canon battery for $150 (G60 camcorder), or I can spend $60 for two Wasabi batteries and a charger. Tough choice - not really. I've been using generic batteries for decades with no problems.

I have two Wasabi batteries for my Pentax K-70s and two Pentax batteries for them. I last charged the Pentax batteries shortly after the eclipse, They both are showing as full charge in the cameras. My Wasabi batteries and a Power 2000 battery would be reading around half capacity under the same conditions. Anecdotal information, but I have noted a few tests of dedicated batteries vs after market ones and the brand name batteries alway seem to out perform the off brand, in each test case. I'll happily replace my Wasabis and Power 2000 with Pentax when the time comes.

What's all this discussion about a tax refund? I have never had one. I don't understand why people overpay the government every year just to get it back the net year.

There are some people who believe that getting a refund means you have loaned money to the government, tax free. Those folks prefer to underpay their taxes, thus having a little more in their pockets for current use. It must be a personal thing.

Her hair was blown out, the background was uninteresting, her eyes weren't sharp, her teeth weren't sharp. even the cropping was inadequate. I just wasn't happy with it. Today, I spent some time in PS Beta, correcting everything. It took some time, but I'm really happy. It'll never win an award, but my daughter, the girl-child's momma, will be happy.

Your granddaughter is an adorable child and I think the pose is very appropriate for her. I have no idea of the condition/appearance of the original but this one is good. I must comment though, on double download it appears there was some camera shake and maybe it was a bit out of focus. I do think it would make a mother happy to have that photo.
