My iMac has developed storage problems. It is completely full and the iMac can no longer function well. I do not have the capacity to download any more photos until the problem is resolved. An hour on the telephone with Apple support determined that this problem requires a complete clear out of the computer and reload. My G-Tech backup external hard drive for the time machine has failed, so we cannot now back up the contents of the iMac. It may be a while before I am back.

I had that problem too. I was selected “save on local hard drive” for the photos app on my IMac. I changed it to “store on ICoud” and freed up a lot of memory. I also went in and deleted several programs that I didn’t use anymore and that too freed up much of my hard drive space. I do still save my photos from the MY Photos App locally, but on a separate drive.

It all depends on how your income is structured. If you have a salary, your taxes are withheld and paid as you go. If you have other income you either pay for that quarterly or you increase your salary withholding to cover it. If your other income is not regular or you can't forecast it, increased withholding could be too much or too little.

My accountant told me that as long as I come within a few percent of last year's tax due, you won't get a penalty if you owe more this year. The question is how much is a few percent?

I have never worried about it. I increase my withholding to cover my forecast estimate. Sometimes I owe. Sometimes I get a refund. If there are penalties they have been small so they don't make a big difference. But then my income and taxes are not large.

I was told some years ago that 10% was the cutoff. If your taxes were underpaid for the year by more than that amount you will incur a penalty. For the past few years my penalty has been about $6.00. That’s just a coffee at Starbucks. I can afford it.

One more thing needed:

Suck (air and fuel)
Squeeze (compression)
Pop (spark)
Phooey (exhaust)

You need a clear exhaust. Jam a potato into the tailpipe and you can't start your car.

It may start, but unless it breathes freely it will die

Skeeters (and scorpions) - I Hate 'em! 10,000 sweaty fans in a football stadium - and the skeeters'll eat me!
8 years ago some friends and I took the war to the bugs with a mist blower, Talstar P and Pivot 10.
2 years ago - the motor, she no run. Spark Plug was carbonized. Once replaced, back in business :)

This year - the motor, she no run. Spark Plug essentially new BUT! The Gas Priming Bulb has a hole in it!
Instead of pulling gas, the engine was pulling air into the carburetor through the hole.
I removed a couple of screws and now could access the miscreant primer bulb.
Quick check on amazoid ==> 2 choices: one 19mm dia and the other 20.
Bulb circumference = 65mm, divide by 3.1415 = 20.7. Order Up!

Replacement arrived this afternoon. Put the new one in, engine primed and fired right up :)
Skeeters - - yer done for !!

Nice job on the repairs. You missed one step in the engine analogy though. It’s fuel, air, compression and spark. No compression means engine, she no run.

Joining possibly thousands of others, no trip to Ayers Rock (or Uluru as its known by its original name) is complete without a photo taken of this monolith at sunset. No editing tools available to me right now (except cropping), so I can't (yet) remove the sign reflecting light. I'd like to process this a bit more, but this is for all those who just love looking at rocks.

We were at Uluru in March and experienced the wonder of it. I took photos from every angle I could and each one seems spectacular and special.
If you are in the market for one of the aboriginal paintings then go to the cultural center. They have at times one of the artists that you can talk to about their art. Plus they have a huge selection of art pieces for sale at really great prices.
Last but not least, aren’t you just lovin’ the flies!
