Yes, just a plain old iris till you get your hands on it Then it is like the ugly duckling that turned into a beautiful swan... Beautiful work on this iris Donna..

Thanks so much, my friend! I had a lot of fun with this one, Val, from the shooting to the finished product, and I'm so glad you enjoyed the result of my efforts!

Just a "plain old Iris" you say? None of your work could ever be regarded as "plain" or "old", Donna. Again, you made something beautiful and showed it to us. Thank you, Donna. I love it.

No, it's thank YOU, Tom, for being such an encouragement to me no matter what I post here. Thanks so very much for your comments and friendship!

Iris is never plain. Beautiful. I prefer the dark backgrounds. I really like the angle.

Now that I know how to invert the white, I think I'll be doing that more often with my lightbox images. It doesn't work well on all. I tried the same on a white tulip, but the results were horrible. Thanks so much, Kathy! I'm glad you enjoyed.

Hardly a plain old iris in your capable hands Donna. Each a work of art. Just beautiful!

Hi Doc! Your ears must surely be itching, because I had just told Vic that I hadn't seen you in a while but thought you might be hunting early dragons. So good to see you, and thank you so much for your lovely comment!

These are beautiful Donna. I enjoy the text, yet I think it just really pops against the black, and I like the glow. I still have my old lightbox, you've given me some ideas. Bev

Thank you so very much, Bev! I'm so glad you enjoyed these, and yes, please do get out the lightbox! I thought the only way to go was to lay it flat with flowers on top, but this one was placed in front of a standing lightbox, and I really liked the results. You might not get quite as much transparency this way, but I think you'll be pleased with the back lit image.

Oh you'd love a lightbox, Corolyn, and I do hope you'll get one!! It's a rewarding rainy day way to get in those flower shots. I can just see some of your lovely garden flowers in all their glory shot through a lightbox! Thank you so much, my sweet friend, and I'm so looking forward to seeing your garden this year!

Headed down to your area next week. Helping at a dragon survey with Florida State near Crestview, FL. I moved from the mountains and woods of PA to the beach in DE.
