First off were you using AI as a stand alone or in Studio? If you are looking for AI it studio, you will find it in the panel on the right, click on "Adjustments" then you should see AI in the new panel. By the way my AI is working just fine.

My AI (just downloaded) doesn't show up with the rest of my plugins, if I scroll down on my page that tells me what topaz products I own, there is another section that says "stand alone" and it's under there.
I'm guessing if it disappeared, it's more than likely that Photoshop updated. When it updates, I often lose some of my topaz or other 3rd party programs that interact with it, and I have to reconnect. So far, thankfully, no issues yet. I haven't even played with AI yet, but have an order to work on tonight that I'm going to see if it makes much difference.
Good luck trying to get a reply. I contacted them when my codes would not work when I got a new laptop. They sent me codes that did not work. I contacted them again and they invited me to repurchase the program.

I have had very good results with topaz ai clear. It is quite automated, and results can be very incredible, and without the overcooked look.
I find Sharpen AI is more manual and not as easy to use. Mostly due to how slow it is to update changes.

Try going to Preferences and change from processing with your graphics card to your motherboard card and see if it speeds up anything. It did with me and several others.
