Trump is angry at McCain because he didn't vote to repeal Obama Care. He had told Trump he would vote for the Repeal, and later changed his mind. It was the lone vote that prevented the Repeal. Even though Senator Republicans, from Maine and Alaska voted against the Repeal. Trump never forgave McCain for that. Because, that was one of Trump's campaign promises. Obama Care, now will change drastically, if the new Congress has its way. Way too much more money. One thing is certain. McCain took his vote to the grave with him. And Trump can't change that. Trump needs to put the McCain issue to rest. He's starting to irritate many Veterans on this now. And he has such a good connection with millions of them. I say cool it down, Mr. President. On the McCain issue.

I seldom agreed with McCainpolitically, but what Trump said about his war record was sickening.
Whatever Trump does now is too little, too late—-he has once again demonstrated his lack of moral character.

How does Trump play into these, your reasons for apparently excusing his unnecessary, nothing to gain, attempts to discredit McCain both as a war hero, and a Senator?
What is wrong with Trump that he takes digs at a dead man? Does it make him feel good inside to speak negatively about a dead man?

Your president is a coward and a draft dodger.

A persons political views should not sway your respect to a patriot and veteran.

Yes there are many vets with mental problems and living on the street; your coward president has done nothing to help them. After all most did not vote for him.

Too many Trump supporters will not concede Trump's fallibility, even when he is dead wrong. They somehow think that to acknowledge that their choice for President can make a mistake or grossly misspeak; is not permitted.
Even the best leaders make mistakes, and supporters should honestly accept that. Trump will not hear the criticism, or read it--so let down your defenses, and admit that Trump does make mistakes, and the McCain rhetoric is a big one. You can still love Trump after you have been honest about his shortcomings.
