Focus Stack with Photoshop and Lightroom

I have been wanting to try Focus Stacking for a while now, but I don't have a D850 which has the routine built in nor do I have Helios so I had to do it manually. This is a 6 image stack. I used a tripod, remote trigger and a Macro lens set to manual focus. I brought the 6 images into Lightroom, made basic edits, synced all of the files and sent them to Photoshop as layers and then converted the layers into a stacked image. Feel free to ask questions or make comments.

Jan, you're off to a good start! The D850 certainly makes it easier and I have never done the processing in Photoshop so I don't know how hard that is. However, I really like stacking. If you think you will enjoy it, don't get discouraged if sometimes it doesn't turn out like you wanted. Just keep trying. Sometimes I set up a flower that I think will work very well only to give up after a few tries. Other times, it is a winner first time around.

Thanks Carol. I was pretty pleased for the first try. I have been wanting to try it for a long time, and then I saw a tutorial on how to do it using Lightroom and Photoshop.. It will work with any camera and lens as long as you can manually focus.

Thanks John. Well, once the directions made it through my thick skull, it was. I had the basic idea of how to shoot the frames, but after that I didn't know how to put them together. Here is a link to one of the tutorials that I tried to figure that out:
