A challenge for sure. Will need to look up the article. I don't have one of those globes, but I have other things that might be good refractors...

I think this qualifies. Taken at a reception using an iPhone.
Interesting illusion with the glass rims too - do you first see bottom of rim near or far? Looking down and in or looking up and out?
I agree with Pat, "A challenge for sure." Thanks for hosting Judy. I only have a couple of refracted art pics to share today.
Still looking for a glass ball to use.

I went on line quite a while ago and got it for a song,Foto! But you really don't have to have one to do this!
I'll share a few more to show what I tried....Fun to practice and improve with tring all kinds of stuff! Can be
quite surprising as you go along!
moved away from seam and added a couple more props for fun
