2019 Sandhill Cran Migration Nebraska

Spent an overnight in Gibbon NE. Rented a space in a photo blind, on the Platte River, which was a bust due to high and fast water leaving nowhere for the cranes to land. I did manage some decent BIF shots as they flew from field to field feeding.

Great set! Nebraska is having a lot of flooding so no wonder the Platte was full!

I've been wondering what the flooding would do to the cranes. I visited the Platte and noted how shallow it was. I guess it isn't now and all those sand bars are totally covered over.
