Spent an overnight in Gibbon NE. Rented a space in a photo blind, on the Platte River, which was a bust due to high and fast water leaving nowhere for the cranes to land. I did manage some decent BIF shots as they flew from field to field feeding.

Beautiful series.. you did get some great shots.
I've been wondering what the flooding would do to the cranes. I visited the Platte and noted how shallow it was. I guess it isn't now and all those sand bars are totally covered over.
Lucky you....I wish I had these guys in my back pasture to photograph. They are gorgeous.
