We'll see after the next summer Olympics. I know someone that does the Olympics, summer and winter games, and he shoots Canon equipment. I'm sure he will be trying out some of Canons mirrorless cameras during the next Olympics. I'll wait to see what this pro says. Jeff Cable is his name in case you'd like to google him. He is a very honest person with his opinions.

The Canon 1DX III will come in time for the 2020 Olympics, just as the 1DX II was ready for the 2016 Olympics in Brazil. Along with their many professional "L" lenses. The Nikon D6 will be out by that time too. Nikon can't let Canon steal the show completely. The Sony a9 mirrorless, with 20 fps, will be there too, but not in great numbers, compared to Canon and Nikon Gear. Sony is finally catching up in the pro line of E-mount lenses. And should have a good standing in the Olympics camera competition. But, Canon will be #1 in the competition, as they have been in past Olympics. With the upcoming Olympics being in Japan, a country that gives much attention to photography. The selected cameras there, will have their representatives there. As boosters for their Brands. Any article is generally one person's opinion. You either agree or disagree.
